The Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

  • Rating: PG-13
  • -Genre: Action, Sci-Fi

Earth’s Mightiest Heroes join forces once again to take on the Mad Titan Thanos, who threatens to wreck havoc with the power of the Infinity Gauntlet.

Thanos (Josh Brolin) decides to collect the Infinity Stones himself in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. The Avengers, who had a falling out during Captain America: Civil War, need to come together to face their biggest threat yet. Doctor Strange and the Guardians Of The Galaxy will be joining the Avengers for the first time, and returning heroes from Civil War include Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man and Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther. Directors Anthony and Joe Russo are in charge of the project with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely as the writers.

Filming for the movie has already wrapped up and production is underway. However details about the film continue to be scarce. Actress Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Wanda Maximoff or the Scarlet Witch, revealed that she, like many other actors, was only given portions of the whole script. It means they only know about their participation in the film but they do not always know who they are in the scene with. Holland, who is known to reveal too much plot in interviews, has also revealed that in some scenes he shot, he had to fight with imaginary opponents.

Aside from how the biggest ensemble of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) characters ever seen in one movie, viewers are also excited to find out how the Avengers themselves reconcile after the events that occurred on Captain America: Civil War, where they were divided into two groups led by Robert Downey, Jr.’s Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, and Chris Evans’s Steve Rogers, aka Captain America.

Other Avengers characters, such as Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Vision (Paul Bettany), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), War Machine (Don Cheadle), Loki (Tom Hiddleston), and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) will also be back.

Doctor Strange’s Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Wong (Benedict Wong) will also join, along with “Guardians of the Galaxy’s” Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Groot (Vin Diesel), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Nebula (Karen Gillan), and Mantis (Pom Kelemntieff).

Avengers: Infinity War is scheduled for release on May 4, 2018.

Untitled Han Solo Star Wars Anthology Film (2018)

  • -Genre: Sci-Fi

The second Anthology spinoff Star Wars story focuses on how young Han Solo became the smuggler, thief, and scoundrel whom Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi first encountered in the cantina at Mos Eisley. Ford reprised the character in three sequels, most recently in 2015’s The Force Awakens, where he died at the hands of his son, Kylo Ren. • -Genre: Action, Adventure, Animation

The Parr family – better known as The Incredibles – will debut their newest adventure on June 15, 2018. Although it will take 14 years for the sequel The Incredibles 2 to premiere, the events moviegoers are about to see takes place right after the ending scene of the first movie.

The first animation film ended with the villain Syndrome (voiced by Jason Lee) attempting to abduct Jack Jack. It was not until the end of the movie when the youngest Parr’s superpowers were revealed and The Incredibles 2 will show the audience what happened to Jack Jack while the rest of his family were away and he was left with a babysitter.

Exploring his multiple abilities will be one focus of the story. The babysitter who has seen Jack Jack go through walls, turn into flame and float in the air will have her memory erased. The only other character who has seen his transformation would be Syndrome who is, we presume, still deceased.

Director and writer Brad Bird revealed that it is Helen Parr (voiced by Holly Hunter), aka Elastigirl, who will be the main focus of the story. Other details revealed include the family moving into a new home that will also serve as their lair. Sibling rivalry between Violet (voiced by Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voiced by Huck Milner) will also be explored.

Meanwhile Bob Parr (voiced by Craig T. Nelson), aka Mr. Incredible, will have to stay at home, at least at the beginning of the story, to take care of their youngest son. Also returning will be Bob’s best friend Lucius Best (Samuel L. Jackson), aka as Frozone, and costume designer to the heroes Edna E. Mode who is voiced by Brad Bird himself.

“The Incredibles 2” is produced by Walt Disney Pictures Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
