It’s time again for us to round up all those movie posters that have hit The Web recently. This Friday’s round-up includes posters for some of the most highly anticipated and discussed movies on the horizon:
Resident Evil: Afterlife, Piranha 3D, Saw 3D, Legend of the Guardians, Buried, Monsters, The Town, The Last Exorcism, Due Date, The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn and Yogi Bear (okay maybe that last one isn’t that anticipated…).
We also have a limited edition art poster for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, which opens today, and a poster for the re-release of Avatar.
So let’s get to it, shall we?
First up we have a bunch of posters and banners for Resident Evil: Afterlife, the fourth installment in the successful video game zombie franchise. We got a quick look at the first one below a few days in the weekly Movie News Wrap Up but we thought we’d showcase more of the set here.
The ads for the film haven’t shied away from letting us know that it’s in 3D, with the trailers in particular shoving that fact in your face (forgive me for the pun). Nonetheless, I think the film looks like harmless fun, albeit one that I’ll forget the second I walk out of the theater.
Take a look at a selection of the Resident Evil 4 posters below:

You can take a look at the rest of the posters over at Ultimate-Resident Evil.
Resident Evil: Afterlife opens in 3D and regular theaters on September 10th, 2010.
Moving on we have a domestic and an international poster for the insanely over-the-top Piranha 3D. This is one of those films that is cheesy and ridiculous – but that’s definitely part of the appeal. Seeing the likes of Richard Dreyfuss and Christopher Lloyd in there only adds to B-movie goodness. I’m expecting to have a lot of fun with this one.
Check out the two new posters below:

Piranha 3D is unleashed in theaters on August 20th, 2010 (next Friday!).

I love that first Piranha 3D poster. Gives off a very Jaws vibe, but still an homage to the poster for Dante’s version back in the 70s.
The international poster is even cooler. More of a throwback. Either way, I know where I’ll be August 20th!
Yeah, I think that’s very much what they were going for with the Jaws-vibe. I think it’s smart for them to make the comparison – will Piranha 3D revive people’s fears of “going in the water” as Jaws did in the ’70s?
I have to wonder, though, if they needed to get permission to utilize that imagery. That original Jaws poster is one of the most iconic of all time.
Wow! These are some pretty great posters! Definitely like the Piranha 3d poster and the Resident Evil one with the black and white contrast is really awesome too!
wow those really look cheesy. how much more can hollywood mess up? give us some better qaulity films with great stories, acting, and effects. and remake the resident evils like the first game and make it actually scary not over the top action lame @$$e$.
Resident Evil 4 are really running with the Matrix look
Dan Akroyd gets a tab.
Wow! Those are the creepiest freakin’ nuns ever!!!
The Saw VII posters look really cool though. (I call it “Saw VII” because I think it’s very dumb to have it shown in 3D)
