The weekly movie poster roundup had to take a small break while I dealt with some issues (I may or may not have been institutionalize under the Baker Act) but as of today it’s back in full swing – and I do mean FULL SWING. This was a busy week for posters as I located 59 posters from 45 different movies and believe it or not most of them are pretty darn good – no poorly executed X-Men: First Class posters this week.
One of the reasons we at Screen Rant like doing this weekly poster roundup – it allows us to share posters for films we may not otherwise cover but would most likely watch if given the chance. Take this week’s roundup for instance – there are only a handful of posters for mainstream films like Zookeeper, Conan the Barbarian, Kung Fu Panda 2, Final Destination 5, Horrible Bosses and Colombiana.
Instead, as you browse through the eleven pages of movie posters you will notice a heavy dose of indie, low-to-mid budget horror, and even a few direct-to-video movie posters – my favorite is Sucker for its cheesy tagline “Payback’s an itch.” You’ll also find posters and synopses for films you may not have heard of before but star actors you are very familiar with – Submarine (Ben Stiller), Dark Tide (Halle Berry), The Artist (John Goodman) and The Skin I Inhabit (Antonio Banderas).
Take a look at all of them below, then tell us which ones were your favorite.
