A Smurfs movie would be unusual to say the least. I mean, how do you make a 90-minute skit of a guy and his evil cat trying to find ways to catch some little blue humanoids?

GI Joe has a burrowing vehicle??

If they’re making a new Robocop that doesn’t match the dark humor and excessive violence of Verhoven, it will be crap. Verhoven said that he puts gratitious violence in some of his films as a means of releasing the pent-up tensions and frustrations of his past. Something to do with WW2 and stuff, I forgot what.

Plus, Robocop was excellent because it used practical effects throughout. It’s a classic. A remake would definitely not be able to match the original.

It’ll be a loser movie without Clarence Boddicker, too.

Wasn’t there a Smurf’s movie out when the cartoon was actually popular? I was actually a fan (I know – 20 somethings were probably not the demographic – but hey they were cute little buggers), but maybe I’m thinking of a direct-to-video release.

Do you think they are hoping to reboot the kids cartoon, or just relying on nostalgia?

As for Smurfs, it seems is was estimated a while back to come out this november but according to IMDB, its sometime 2009

Pixar will nail the John Carter film..They have the Midas touch and I see no reason why it won’t continue with this film

I think the Dark Knight will be the Grown-up Comics-to-film adaptation this year…Iron Man was great from a summer fun blockbuster and Hulk will be good because it will be better than the first hulk film…But TDK will be so much more serious with the dark undertones and the joker being a maniacal freak and the transformation of Harvey Dent…HUGE SPOILER HERE…..death of Rachel Dawes, etc.

If there’s anything we need in a muppet movie, it’s continuity and careful attention to the mythology.

Revenge of the Fallen? Assuming this isn’t just part of the Michael Bay’s promised disinformation campaign, it’s possible they may have hit on the one character for whom these horror movie monster designs might work. The problem, though, is do they really want to include a character with so many supernatural overtones in “the most realistic take on Transformers ever.”

While I doubt Orci & Kurtzman could do the story of The Fallen justice, and I certainly don’t believe Bayformers 2 will be better than Bayformers 1, I have to admit, the possibilities implied by the title intrigue me.

Maybe, if I get free tickets again, I’ll check it out, but even using free tickets last time I wanted a refund.

Transporter 2 was terrible, i hope 3 is good.

I can’t wait for Transformers 2, I’m pretty sure it will be one of the best theatre-experiences ever.

I look forward to more jumper movies because i know sequels would heavily improve upon the first which had tons of potential but I still enjoyed it alot.

I wonder how Smurfs would look like on bigscreen and what kinda storyline would validate it even going to theatres? I think a new robo-cop could be really awesome if done well, the poster background gives props to the classics. Im sure the original robocop will have a cameo as well.
