Tom, I haven’t purchased a comic book in about 10 years (at least). I got turned off by the industry when it started to cost $3 for a comic book and then you had to buy 10 different books every week to follow the same story (i.e. THe Amazing Spider-Man, THe Spectacular Spider-Man, etc). I’ll check out the movie and I am sure that I will learn from all the fanboys how much it varied from canon….

I really hope they get JLA to work; there has been much talk about who they will get to play Superman and Batman but I will be satisfied with an unknown as long as the script and action is good.

I think this is the first time I’ve read that Cobra Commander will be in GI Joe; this is good news. I can’t see having a GI Joe movie without him.

They don’t call Watchmen the “Citizen Kane” of comics. I read it first nearly 14 years ago when I got out of high school, and I was completely blown away.

Yeah,Spirit looks interesting. I’ve followed it for a while and I realize I’m probably in the minority here,but I’d preffer a PG-13 Spirit over an R.

I hope JLA still happens but with a descent cast and script. So far the only cast members that I can get behind are the ones that have in fact been 100% confirmed: Common as GL/John Stewart and Megan Gale as Wonder Woman. Even tho I’d preffer to see Hal Jordan as GL,if they use John I think Common is a great choice. Just saw him in Smokin’ Aces,FYI…..

I found a shooting location yesterday at supermanhomepage.com for the film which is supposedly going to begin shooting in the spring/summer. The location was a building which I think is probably either Wayne Manor or Maxwell Lord’s place.

Shazam will be interesting. I hope they cast Brandon Molale as Capt Marvel.

Anything with Leonardo DiCaprio in (or affiliated with) I tend to avoid like rap music. For some reason I can’t STAND him!

GI Joe still holds no appeal to me at all. As for the other films mentioned, I am not familiar with them at all, although that Watchmen scene looks pretty cool and I will probably check it out.

Thanks, guys. Kel, I highly doubt anything will happen with JLA, because it was doomed from the start, like Batman vs. Superman and Batman Beyond (live action).

I’ll do a follow up soon, and cover Spirit and Shazam!, too!! As a filmmaker, I’m very interested in The Spirit, because they’re shooting it pretty much all green screen. I recently did a short like that.
