Something Borrowed

Next we have two new images from Something Borrowed, a romantic comedy starring Kate Hudson, Ginnifer Goodwin, John Krasinski, Colin Egglesfield and Steve Howey. Romantic comedies aren’t really my cup of tea and by the sounds of the plot (see below) it doesn’t sound like the film will offer anything different than what we’ve seen a million times before from this genre.

Nevertheless check out the images above and below if you’re interested:

Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin) is a talented attorney at a top New York law firm, a generous and loyal friend and, unhappily, still single…as her engaged best friend Darcy (Kate Hudson) is constantly reminding her. But after one drink too many at her 30th birthday party, perpetual good girl Rachel unexpectedly ends up in bed with the guy she’s had a crush on since law school, Dex (Colin Egglesfield), who just happens to be Darcy’s fiancé.

When Rachel and Darcy’s lifelong friendship collides with true love, it leads to unexpected complications and potentially explosive romantic revelations. Meanwhile, Ethan (John Krasinski), who has been Rachel’s constant confidante and sometimes conscience, has been harboring a secret of his own, and Marcus (Steve Howey), an irrepressible womanizer, can’t keep his mind out of the gutter or his hands off any girl within reach.

Something Borrowed opens on June 10th, 2011.

Horrible Bosses

Second to last is a new brand new image from Horrible Bosses, a star-studded new comedy featuring the likes of Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Spacey, Donald Sutherland and Julie Bowen. That cast alone is enough to get me to see the movie!

Check out the new image below:

For Nick (Jason Bateman), Kurt (Jason Sudeikis) and Dale (Charlie Day), the only thing that would make the daily grind more tolerable would be to grind their intolerable bosses (Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell, Jennifer Aniston) into dust. Quitting is not an option, so, with the benefit of a few-too-many drinks and some dubious advice from a hustling ex-con (Jamie Foxx), the three friends devise a convoluted and seemingly foolproof plan to rid themselves of their respective employers…permanently. There’s only one problem: even the best laid plans are only as foolproof as the brains behind them.

Horrible Bosses hits theaters on July 29th, 2011.

The Apparition

Last up in WB’s 2011 preview are two new images from The Apparition, a new supernatural horror/thriller starring Ashley Greene (The Twilight Saga), Sebastian Stan and Tom Felton (one his first post-Harry Potter roles). The plot of the film sounds about as generic as these types of film can get but who knows, it could end up being one of the better examples. It’ll probably end up being a DVD rent for me.

Here are the two new images for you to check out:

When frightening events start to occur in their home, young couple Kelly (Ashley Greene) and Ben (Sebastian Stan) discover they are being haunted by a presence that was accidentally conjured during a university parapsychology experiment. The horrifying apparition feeds on their fear and torments them no matter where they try to run. Their last hope is an expert in the supernatural (Tom Felton), but even with his help they may already be too late to save themselves from this terrifying force…

The Apparition haunts theaters on September 9th, 2011.

So that’s it for WB’s January-December 2011 preview! My favorites would have to be the images for Sherlock Holmes 2, The Hangover Part 2 and The Rite. How about you? Leave your thoughts on the images and the movies in general in the comments.

  1. AMAZING PICTURES CANT WAIT TO SEE THESE!!!!

    • eye deahtly hallows p2 looks awesome same with hangover

  2. YES! They changed the title for final destination (i think) final destination 5 is the correct title!!!

    • I agree. I’m not one bit interested in the film b/c it’s probably exactly the same as the first film (the same goes for the sequels), but 5nal Destination (looked more like anal destination) was just a horrible title.

      • LMAO! They should have kept it, the Anal Destination lol. To qoute Tremors 3, that sounds like a porno, and about how bad the movie will suck.

        • Ass-Blasters!!! I love Tremors

          • Me too, one of my favorite series lol

            • I think I just found my new best friend…

              … maybe not

  3. see all of alans couch bags?? awsome haha

  4. couche*

    • I believe the word you’re looking for is “Coach.”

      • yea! that onE :P

  5. All the way up to Sucker Punch is good, those movies I want to see (mainly Deathly hallows Part 2). The rest can go to the crapper (talking to you Final destination 5 and red riding hood: the twilight spinoff).

    • Deathly hallows is my most anticipated movie of 2011 8-)

      • Its one of mine, up there with Cap and thor, and Pooh, and a billion more

      • I’m diggin’ the new avatar Ricky! Simba rocks!

        • Thanks foopher, you should get one!

  6. You said that if there is a chance that a movie will be made it will be, during the final destinion 5 part, but what abut deadpool? or another robocop movie? not saying that they shoud make another robocop, exspecially if its pg13, list goes on…

i get what youre trying to say, but i felt like being a smart ass… :) seriously though, nice job… cant wait for sucker punch and hangover 2!!!

final destination? i thought they stopped making those movies after the second one cause they sucked? oh well, you live you learn…

and if kate hudson is wearing a swim suit like in that treasure hunting movie with mathew mccanahey… however he spells it, if shes wearing a swim suit in one of those scenes, ill rent it, just for that part… :D

  7. 2011 should be an interesting year at the movies…

    • Yes it will be, so much money will be spent…

    • Agreed, but only a prelude to 2012.

      • And then the Mayan Prediction of the heart attack of all the geeks in the world will happen and movies will become quite boring, intill the end of days…

  8. I’m seeing Sherlock Holmes 2 NO QUESTION, but why no Rachel McAdams??? I didn’t see Hangover 1 and I will NOT see Hangover 2. So Basically I’m seeing Sherlock as mentioned, Thor, Green Deadpool.. I mean Lantern.lol. First Avenger and I think some movie that SUPPOSED to be about giant robots. By the way does Megan Fox still have a movie career?lol.

  9. Wait who will Stu merry in The Hangover 2?!?!?!
and I will for sure see Horrible Bosses and maybe Hall Pass

    • Maybe the girl from the first movie, the stripper

      • Heather Graham won’t be in this film, but I think Jamie Chung (Sucker Punch) is Stu’s new girl.

        • Oh, dang I would have liked for him and the stripper to get hitched.

  10. Why don’t they just retitle Red Riding Hood, The Twilight Saga: Red Riding Hood. I mean, it looks almost EXACTLY like Twilight. Yes, I’m aware the director made one of the Twilight films.

    • I agree, thankfully I missed most of the trailer when i saw the Deathly Hallows so my eyes and brain wasnt damaged. Watch the werewolf will not look like a werewolf but something stupid.
