If you haven’t seen our July Movie Preview then you might not be aware that this month has some choice offerings as far as movies go.

Sure, The Last Airbender turned out to be a major disappointment, but Predators was pretty decent.  This week brings us Chris Nolan’s highly-anticipated new film, Inception, along with the Nicolas Cage action/adventure film, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. In the weeks that follow, we’ll be getting the Angelina Jolie action vehicle Salt, as well as the Paul Rudd and Steve Carell oddball comedy, Dinner for Schmucks. Not a bad lineup.

Today we have new clips from The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Salt and Dinner for Schmucks to share with you. The clips offer a nice mix of action, espionage, magic and comedy – everything you need for good summertime escape at the movies.

I’ll post the clips in order of release date:

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice

First up, a look at who the characters of Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer’s action-packed adaptation of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Who is the wizard Balthazar Blake (Nic Cage) and his apprentice Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel)? How about the villainous sorcerer Horvath (Alfred Molina) or our heroes’ two lovely love interests (Monica Bellucci and Teresa Palmer)?

If you don’t already know, find out about all the characters of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice here:

Next up, here’s Angelina Jolie yet again proving why she’s a top lady of action movies as Salt. The clips come our way courtesy of Coming Soon:

Dinner For Schmucks

Finally, Paul Rudd (I Love You Man), Steve Carell (The Office) and Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover) all (try to) bring the funny in these clips for Dinner for Schmucks, which come our way courtesy of Collider:

Any one (or all) of these movies look appealing to you?

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice enchants theaters this Wednesday, July 13th.

Salt hits theaters on July 23rd.

Dinner for Schmucks will be in theaters on July 30th.

  1. looking forward to ‘apprentice

  2. I will watch all three movies. These are summer movies, what do you expect?

Haters will find things to hate and happy people will always be happy.

  3. I find it increasingly harder to take Jolie serious in physical action roles. Whenever she punches someone I’m always expecting her sticklike arms to snap.

  4. got a feeling Salt will tank…i actually like the look of it though

  5. I wanna see them all!!!!!
