C’mon..stop comparing this to ALvin and the Chipmunks…these old cartoon shorts of Tom & Jerry are classics and very violent and they are the inspiration for Itchy & Scratchy from the Simpsons. They can in no way be compared to the chipmunks…I think it should be completely CGI like Horton Hears A Who and keep the original gags and violence that made these toons as great as the Looney Tunes shorts from the same era.. (The live action/animated version of that one didn’t work out so well)

Well I saw Alvin and others and thought it was cute … for what it was. But in order to do a live action Tom and Jerry it will have to rated R with the beatings Tom takes.
