I like Mickey Rourke as Whiplash. He looks good. If you where going to make it a female character, I can see Asia Argento wearing the gear. She would look good against Robert Downey Jr.

Looks alittle funny, but not bad for prototype stolen Ironman tech. Looks like they replaced the replusor with the cables and powered the weapon with the Ironman core. Tony probably developed it. Betting Whiplash gear must also possess very advance defensive tech.

Probably throw a replusor like blade beam, but very interested on how he’s holding the cables and not being harmed? IMO, think Hammer will use Iron Monger still armor with the Whiplash gear to form the Whiplash Dynmo.

He’s chewing on a toothpick and there’s a trashed driver’s helmet in the background. At least we know he’ll be even keeled as he smashes peoples.

I like it.
Love the tattoos and wonder if they were taken from actual Russian prisoners.

I like the Road Warrior trashed thing going on with the armor.

looks cool as a prototype which it almost has to be. there’s far too much of his body exposed for him to be a serious threat to anyone. my guess is this is a public demonstration of some kind and he probably volunteered to have his sentence commuted and winds up going rogue and clashing with iron man at some point

Of all the villians to choose – Whiplash? He looks like a reject from Thunderdome that should get wiped out in the opening scene.

I am trying to give Jon the benefit of the doubt, because the first Iron Man movie was so awesome!!! But im having trouble grasping the idea that Tony Stark, one of the most brilliant minds in the entire Marvel Universe could continue to let people steal his mini arc reactor chest piece?!

Mickey Rourke was amazing in the Wrestler and Sin City, but i think Marvel is going too A-List and went out of their way for a very mediocre Iron Man villain this time around! I hope to God, Mandarin or Crimson Dynamo come out towards the end or is at least hinted at.

Good Luck to Jon Favreau, im rooting for you.

All I can say is I would’ve rather them use a different villain, and have Rourke be Omega Red in Wolverine 2. Look at him…does he not have Omega Red written all over him?
