Yah, I’m not sure if I would want the writers of one of the funniest films I’ve seen in 2008 to write IM2. But I do have to say, they achieved the humor in a very creative and CLEVER way, and that’s what set it apart from the other comedies. So perhaps they are capable of applying those brains for something more serious. So I’m cautiously hopeful about IM2.

There simply needs to be a way to bring Rourke in to the fold one way or another. If not as Crimson Dynamo, then Whiplash or any other character that is befitting an actor of Mickey’s stature. He needs to be on board, that much is clear.

Although Favreau is back to direct I really don’t know what to expect with the sequel. Remember, we have a completely different writer on this one, not the same guys who wrote the first one. And this guy’s claim to fame is Tropic Thunder.

I’ll be keeping a close watch on development of this one, folks.

I would be surprised if they tried to meld villains/characters for the second film. With many of the same creative minds at work, all of whom did a good job of trying to stay faithful to the source material, I’d find that an odd move.

Although I am not very farmiliar with the Ultimate Universe, could he be playing Marc Scott? He is a rival Arms dealer (his company is called Whiplash) that competes with Stark for military contracts. Only thing is I dont know exactly where he is from, so I am not sure he is russian.

Maybe he won’t be any of those recognized villains but will be a new villain loosely inspired by a comic book villain. Remember, they are trying for a more realistic approach to this, maybe Crimson Dynamo had something about him that wouldn’t fit in their idea of the IM universe and had to change the character, but so much so that they felt they cannot name him the same. Not to mention, who the heck would really call themselves Crimson Dynamo?? That’s something you can get away with in a comic book, but who in the real world would not find that really campy or corny??

Please no Whiplash always hated the character, Living Laser (Lame), Freak (No that’s Happy Hogan), Super Adaptoid (could be cool)

If they had any Noots the Villian would be the Manderin and cast either Andy Lau or Tony Leung in the role. Both speak near perfect English and happen to be the biggest stars in the world to 2/3 of the planet. Personally I’m an Andy Lau mark and one of the few who prefered Three Kingdoms to Red Cliff
