I liked the first 20 minutes (a lot) but after that Abrams assaulted me with a Beastie Boys tune and then took a course into the forbidden zone of Teen Trek... It was entertaining but left me empty afterwards.

If Transformers2 can ditch some of the low brow humor I might like it... After watching the first Trans, I have to admit the robots fighting was cool but the writing was kinda lame. I hope this ones better!

    @790
You didn't like star trek...? They did say that if you were a fan of the show and previous movie installments you might not like the movie so i guess thats why i liked the movie.

I think even if the movie did everything to please the storytellers and all of these people i think lots would still hate it just to hate bay and to tell you the truth i wouldn't want it any other way. I will say this if someone sits next to me i will give a samsung instinct slap. Jokes are welcome though...and its mainly because i talk to the screen when i'm watching anything. I've been doing it since i was 4 so i can't stop now. I don't talk loud though its more of to myself thing or my friends around me.

    I take that back.

Hey I hope Transformers kicks butt, after being let down by Star Trek and Terminator I feel your pain...

Aww c'mon... "mcb"... Thats a low blow. To me any michael bay movie was better then any mcg movie. I'm almost sure that screenrant will give it a 2.5-3 but my only comment will be that i loved tf2. I'm not going to defend it because the movie is going to do what i wanted it to do... Entertain me. I could care less about plotholes and all this bs when it comes to a bay movie. Still waiting on that bad boys 3 bay... Tf2 and avatar are going to be the biggest movies of this year i believe.

At least he's honest about himself. I think that Michael Bay is well above average for a director (but that's not saying much since I'm not that knowledgeable about film making). Anyway, I'm just plain excited for this movie. Only about a month to go. =D

love the poster and i am dying to go see this movie i cant wait . in my opinion ALL of michael bay's films that he has directed so far have all been great but i think transformers 2(based on the trailers and tv spot) is going to be the best movie of the year!!

I'm going to refer to him as McB. :-)
  • Phil
Heh, sounds like a guy not afraid to toot his own horns. And a guy who marches to his own beat. Kudos to him.

I think TF2 will be better than its predecessor, but whether the majority of Screen Rant's readers will like it or not, that's something else entirely. We shall see! :D
  • Cat
He's not the easiest guy to like but I've always liked the car chases and action in his films.
  • Iron Knight
I don't hate Michael Bay. I mean, he's not a great director, but he is very talented for this kind of films (action). And he seems to like his job a lot, that's something.

Revenge of the Fallen is gonna end as one of the biggest (but not greatest) films of the year, not the #1 of course, that belongs to Avatar...
  • Matt Keith
I'm not really likink the poster, but I am excited for the film and expect it to be just a fun entertaining blockbuster just like the first film.

I think its funny how people hate on Bay and say that he needs to stop making movies, but don't realize that his films make MILLIONS of dollars....so hes gonna be around til his films stop making money and from the looks of things thats not gonna happen anytime soon...if you ask me.
