greenknight333.....After the screw job that he received at Fox over Firefly, I could understand Joss making that statement. If you want some interesting reading ask any Firefly enthusiast about what that show went through on it's brief tenure at Fox. With time, things change, the landscape changes and as there are only so many venues available for your ideas maybe that means he had to eat some crow over it. Even as such, if Fox is willing to greenlight another of his projects does this make Whedon untrustworthy or just another guy trying to make a living in the entertainment industry?

Did I hear my name being called? They call me Bruce. Here I am!

Hey Green: I am sending a salt shaker along with this:

I thought I had read that there was a shake up at Fox Broadcasting in regards to some key folk leaving, or better, brighter, more intuitive folk coming on board.

I've since tried finding that info again, but to no avail.

If true, I think what we're seeing is a shift of focus as to what can do them good with their advertisers. Especially after Battlestar Galactica and the success it's had on the Sci-Fi Channel.

That's my foggy take... and I'm still trying to find that article.

I think people either love or hate Whedon's stuff..I just don't get it..I mean I really don't..I bought and watched the Series Firefly & the movie Serenity and can't say I enjoyed them and all I can really say is that I am indifferent to them. Although that being said I should probably revisit Serenity again. Never liked Buffy or Angel as it was just a reflection of pop culture at the time with characters spouting "cool catch" phrases of the day...C'mon guys I should be more into Whedons work and I can't get more into it..I was more a fan of his father's work (Tom) as he was the head writer of The Electric Company..I have the two best of sets of The Electric Company on DVD for my kids and I enjoy those more that Buffy or ANgel..

Well if the passion is still out there (and I assure you that it is) instead of a sequel, you may see a prequel instead since Josh loved the story and the characters so much. Knowing the cast's reception to the ideas of reuniting being well known, if it can happen look for it too. That franschise/story line was too good to let die without reviving.

When Whedon has a thought, or story, he does his best to stick to his idea. I'm not worried about the magic.

Oh yes it would indeed Rob. If nothing is legally tied up with Universal, I bet we may start hearing something within the next year or so... or so I predict.

While he never really spilled any serious plot details for Goners, Joss did talk about it more than people seem to think.
