Rob Keyes says:

Welcome back Mel!

the old man says:

Looks very watchable. Monahan and Campbell do good work. Should be solid.

Jonn Holland says:

Mel looks great and true to form. I will be anxious to see this.

Richard says:

This looks awesome I cant wait!

debs says:

OMG,,hes back,this looks great,go mel,hot and sexy as always,luv ya,

Looks good. Apparently the bad guy turns out to be Mel’s mullet, back for vengeance after years in the wilderness.

badlvillemojo says:

Wow! Looks pretty darn good.

greenknight333 says:

Looks great!!

Payback II?

INK says:

THis looks great!

It looks like the plot would have made a good story for “Taken 2″ as well.

Rob says:

@ Ink,

I totally thought the same thing when seeing this :)

Maybe they can cross-over and have Neeson and Gibson laying down the pain next time around…

INK says:

@Rob

That would be too cool for words.

INK says:

Watching this trailer I also thought who in Hollywood is going to take over for some of the iconic actors and actresses that are getting older? I see no young thespians with the chops or presence to take their place. Any ideas?

Aknot says:

@Ink

I have no idea and dont want to know. Mel, Willis, Ledger, Downey, etc all surprised us with regards to how they started and then ended up.

Who would have thought Moonlighting would have led to John McClain?

Downey from an oddball comedian to Ironman?

Hell even Meryl Streep can carry her own in a comedy vehicle and Mork works very well as a homicidal individual.

I believe it is almost ALL about the writing and directing to make the actor/actress believe they can do what they are paid to do.

Entertain me.

What I don’t like to see is a person locked into a type role. I find it more entertaining when they do something you don’t expect them to do and do it well.

The “chops” are earned and until someone breaks a mold and can carry different type roles they wont earn them. Yes we can have another pre-Focker Di Nero and they can be good at that, but until the do Focker transition they will just be another pre-Focker… :D

I ramble… did that make sense?

Rhaemye says:

Looks good. Although I feel like I’ve seen the whole movie already now.

Dana S. says:

Looks like a good story and a good character for Mel to play!!

hamlet3k says:

Huh… I’ll be d*mned. I check IMDB and, of course, it’s based on something: a 1985 TV min-series. And Ray Winstone’s character was played by Joe Don Baker. I’d say that’s an upgrade. :)

Ash Ali says:

HEEEEEE’SSSSS BBBBBAAAAACCCCKKKKKK!!!!!!

OrangeRush2112 says:

awesome – very dark and edgy, ahhh…..edge of darkness! what a great place to see mad max back in – take him to the brink and find out what he brings back – cant wait

Ken J says:

Wow, looks like another winner from Martin Campbell, gonna catch this one for sure…

paulie412 says:

Looks watchable. Casino Royale was so good, I’m down to see anything from Martin Campbell.

greenknight333 says:

The more I see from Martin Cambell the more excited I am getting to see Green Lantern!!

greenknight333 says:

Campbell I meant.. :)

Bangarang says:

Like someone esle said this feel like Payback, which was a awsome movie. I’ll watch this for sure.

paulie412 says:

@greenknight333

Didn’t know he was doing Green Lantern. Very cool. Aren’t they still writing that?

Kantstandya says:

man its good to see mell back in action. now we just need him in a good old kickass action flick again like the patriot. he would be amazing in a superhero movie i think as like the oldschool badass.

Ken J says:

@GK

I too am a Martin Campbell fan. BOTH his James Bond movies were awesome, Goldeneye and Casino Royale, so I’m excited to see him take on the comic book world with Green Lantern and now this movie looks like a winner too.

Robyn2 says:

How original, another detective part for Mel,his big comeback to acting – more of the same as before.
Very dissapointing, and it is a re-make of a British Tv show.
Like Payback – it will bomb!
To see or not to see – NOT!

the old man says:

Mel’s been around the farm so to speak, several times. I see this kind of like comfort food. Familiar and predictable but it still tastes good. Lots of people like to see him do this kind of work. See if he brings anything new to the model Robyn2. You never know until you find out… ;)

Robyn2 says:

@ The old man says
“lots of people like him do this kind of work”
Yeah, those people would go see “Leathal Weapon 17″ however
crapy it may be!
I would rather see something in the vein of “Gallipoli” or “The Year of Living Dangerously” something new and original.
Mel has lost his way as an actor. There was a time I thought he would become another De Niro, Pacino – when was Mel nominated for an Oscar – never!

Ken J says:

@Robyn

That just means Mel hasn’t made a movie with a political message the “Academy” wanted to promote. Doesn’t mean squat anymore like the Nobel Peace Prize…
