The Wonder Woman movie is a project that has been in-development for years and years now. It has been off and on since way back in 2005 (at least), until earlier this year when it was reported that Warner Bros. and Silver Pictures were trying to get the project moved along (finally), looking for a good spec script and the “right” director to bring the female superhero to the big-screen.

Hollywood hottie-of-the-minute Megan Fox has ben rumored to play Wonder Woman in the movie version, and this was only further sparked when a fan-made image of her in the outfit made its way online (shown above and below). However, like the rumors of her taking over from Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot, Fox has denied speculation that she would play Wonder Woman.
But if you’re thinking she might want to do it if asked… not only does she deny she’s been approached, but she flat-out disses the character and the idea of a movie featuring her:
“Wonder Woman is a lame superhero… She flies around in her invisible jet and her weaponry is a lasso that makes you tell the truth. I just don’t get it. Somebody has a big challenge on their hands whoever takes that role but I don’t want to do it.”
Wow, Fox certainly doesn’t shy away from saying what she thinks. Not only does it appear that she doesn’t like the character, but that she doesn’t “get” her…. Having said that, I have to say I’m kind of in agreement with her. I won’t go as far to say the character is “lame,” but as superheroes go, I don’t think she’d be the first one I’d set up as my next tentpole movie project (although, perhaps that isn’t fair to say since this has been a project in-development for years, even before other superhero movies were made).
Also, I’m not sure if a Wonder Woman movie would do all that well at the box office. It certainly wouldn’t tank, but I don’t think it would be the smash success that films like The Dark Knight and Iron Man were (I think more along the lines of The Incredible Hulk). On the other hand we ARE talking about Megan Fox in a low cut top and short skirt, bounding about and flying through the air…
Sadly, as it has been for a while now, there is no official news yet as to which creative direction the Wonder Woman movie will go – with neither a writer nor director in tow – but at least we know now who most likely will not be donning that outfit.
What do you think of Megan Fox’s comments about Wonder Woman? Since she most likely won’t play the character, who do you think should play her instead?

Only thing that bothered me is that his accent kind of sucked and also I never knew what the hell he was saying. The kid is a fantastic actor in other things though.
@daniel f
Ahh… Ditto. I especially loved his performances in both alpha dog and charlie bartlett…
Both those movies were really good. Charlie Bartlett was good, but RDJ was definitely the best part of it. The funny part is I watched Alpha Dog loved it saw that kid on the poster for Charlie Bartlett so I watched it and realized holly hell RDJ is in this he had an amazing performance.
@ daniel f
Rdj was really good in it but i actually saw it because of kat denings… She’s very attractive in my opinion.
Michael Claymore for you to make that bold a statement about black people being dirty, Why would you say something like that.Could you have used a better example than that unless thats your feeling about the black race.(ENOUGH with that issue).Even though i wanted Megan fox as W.W. she is to short for the role, and she does not and will never have the pull to carry a movie on her own like Angelina has and still does. A.J. is not to old for this role at all.Angelina is the ONLY female now that is in Hollywood that is believable enough to make it work,And I will never understand HOW ANYONE CAN SEE WONDER WOMAN As BEING LAME.
Are you serious Gregory your gonna pull the race card over that? He was being against racism there is no need for you to get all huffy.
Sorry, but while I don’t really care either way about Megan Fox I think she is just as capable and carrying a movie as Angelina lets face it Angelina isn’t that great of an actress and made it as far as she did because of her lips and chest and her best years are behind her now for sure both in acting and looks. Oh and Wonder Woman is lame. I wanted to follow that last part up with “Her hair sticks straight up and she’s bloody stupid.” I don’t to many people will get it though.
Let me get this straight, She thinks it’s stupid. That no one will pay to see a movie about a woman, who ties up men and forces them to tell them all their secrets?
Bull, There are plenty of people who will pay just to have someone that looks like Megan Fox do that to them right now. As well as others who would pay just to see it.
It will be her honesty that wil keep her from getting good roles if she keeps up this “honesty” shes gonna work her way right out of hollywood and back to Port St.Lucie.sometimes saying nothing is best.Yes if she did take the role i would be happy I like her cause she LOOKS the part.It’s her mouth I dont care for.A person can be “Honest” And smart with there statement about something they dont care for without offending any fans women, and men that find that W.W.to be a postive female icon.Seems like a slap in the face to me.
So the Oscar she won a a few years back and the One she was nominated for this past year means nothing i guess. Yes I did pull the race card Because it was a bad comparison did not need to be said thats all.I am A black man not African American just black American that loves People. It hurts to see statements like that it really does. I’m sorry to upset you personally.
Daniel F. judging on your last comment yuo dont seem to be a very nice person yourself.Again sorry for Offending you.
I’m more offended by your three posts one right after another than by anything that you have said. I’m plenty nice when it’s deserving, but I’m also a bluntly honest person and see no reason to sugar coat the truth.
By the way he wasn’t saying anything negative about black americans he was simply making a statement that actually reflects negatively on racism.
@Gregory cole
You are completely misinterpreting the point Michael Claymore was making and are spinning it into an excuse for righteous indignation.
What he was pointing out was that no one seemed to notice or take offense at her calling men in general “dirty” – generalizing against all males, and to highlight what a stupid thing that was to say he suggested what the reaction might be if instead of “men” she had said “black people.”
He was being the farthest thing from racist – he was pointing out (correctly) that generalizing about either is stupid, but since she was picking on men in general that’s considered acceptable these days since apparently we’re the reason for all the “evil” in the world.
Vic
While I agree with Megan about Wonder Woman Vic I did find it curious that she doesn’t like Wonder Woman. I mean seriously Wonder Woman is the very definition of feminism I mean seriously.
Vic…… I Still think he could have used another statement other that that. I am fully aware of the point M.C. was making not misunderstanding his point at all, and what of angelina acting skills you skirted around that one Daniel.happy to offend you BTW.
I’m not at all offended by anything. I really don’t get offended I’m pretty sure you were offended about what everyone else says.. I gotta ask Gregory you say he could of used a better example I’m just wondering what a better example for you is? Does that just mean anything, but black if he would of used Hispanics or Asians as an example would that of been ok as long as he didn’t mention your race in his post? Just general inquiry.
I didn’t skirt around anything Angelina isn’t a good actress. I clearly stated that her ability speaks for it’s self. She relies on her looks to get her parts and carry her through a movie. Oscars and other awards are meaningless. I mean I could get a group of 10 or 12 friends together and we could handle out meaningless awards as well.
@Jago
I don’t see that accent mark on my keyboard, ergo, I’m not typing it.
@ jago & angela
WHO THE $#%^&$% CARES WHAT RACE SHE IS???
She is black, she is dominican, she is happy, she is sad, who cares… She’s HOT, that’s my point…
@ ken j
You hold left alt then press 164 for it… I said that sarcastically just because she had said it and even explained how to do it on the computer. Also i care that she’s dominican… Thats why ” I ” mentioned it… Duh.
@Gregory cole
I didn’t skirt around Angelina’s acting – I frankly don’t give a crap.
What I *do* care about is maintaining civility in our discussions here and the issue I addressed was for that reason. I don’t let things spin out of control here.
And I’m with Ken J: If we stopped making an issue out of race, I think the whole question would go away that much faster.
Vic
@vic
I only mentioned the dominican thing because like i said earlier i’m just happy for dominicans getting better, higher and more diverse roles… I didn’t mean to start anything with anybody so i apologize to both screenrant and everyone else…
I for one am glad Megan Fox doesn’t like Wonder Woman because she really would not have done the role justice. It relieves me so much to know she would not take the part. She obviously doesn’t see anything deeper with the character, which would make for really bad acting and she really needs to buff up and not look so fragile.
My vote for who would play the perfect Wonder Woman is Jodi Lyn O’Keefe from Prison Break. I can’t believe that I haven’t seen anything on her possibly playing the role, she’s hot and she fits the look perfectly!!! (and I’m sure a better actress)
I attached a link to her show pix on imdb if anyone wants to see:

@Jago
But that’s the thing, shouldn’t we all be happy that PEOPLE OF ANY COLOR WHO CAN ACT are getting bigger and better roles, not concern ourselves over what race they are??
@ ken j
If you want to you could do what you said, i’ll do what i said and this is my last comment on that subject in respect to others and screenrant. I apologize again to all for even saying it in the first place.
@Jago
Don’t sweat it, I’m referring to someone else who hopefully is true to their word and won’t be back to troll the site.
Vic
I’m with you all the way Vic. Racism sticks around because we let it. Every time someone gets overly sensitive about non racist remarks just to have an excuse to pull the race card the issue just sticks around longer. In a perfect world there would be no more racists and no more people overly sensitive about their race sadly neither will ever happen because this world we live in is anything, but perfect.
I’m Asian, my best friend is White, my girlfriend is Black, my ex-girlfriend is Hispanic, I’m equal opportunity baby, lol.
@Daniel F
It doesn’t help when our own government makes it seem like racism is ok with all of this fighting racism with racism BS like affirmative action. My college was paid off 100% with money left over for expenses, and the ONLY scholarships I received were all merit based scholarships despite me being a minority. I refuse to apply to a scholarship where I’ll be chosen over my peers because of the color of my skin. Sounds like racism to me, what do you think?
Anyway, let’s forget all of this, and remember what is important, Zoe Saldana is a hottie and Megan Fox can’t act, there, I’m ending all of this digressing, lol.
Couldn’t agree with you more Ken.I always wondered where my white scholarship was, but I guess that would be racist.
what about jessica biel? imagine her in that outfit? and shes a decent actress.
Biel is a good actress. I’ve never found her attractive, but she would work as Wonder Woman I guess I mean she’s ripped like a dude in a lot of her movies.
What was failed to be mentioned was the fact that Megan Fox said this statement after the people in charge of this project stated that they would not have her play the role (THANK GOD!). After rumors spread that she would be approached to get the role they said that they wouldn’t have her. At first, she was saying that she would love to play this part, representing a real, powerful woman. But now that they reject her she goes and says things like this. I read this on a website a couple of weeks ago, sounds like a spoiled little kid to me.
I am absolutely glad that she will not play this role. Megan Fox comes across as being a bit slutty. Wonder Woman is not like that at all. Megan Fox might be skinny but she doesn’t have the right body type or the face to play Wonder Woman. The girl they originally had cast in the cancelled Justice League movie with the young actors is a much better choice than she is.
I’m glad that Megan Fox will not be able to ruin such a classic character.
For the movie I would watch it just because she used to be as big as Superman and Batman, I would like to see her return to her former glory. With a great script, actors and team of filmmaking, I’m sure they could make this into a successful movie. If Marvel could do it with Thor, who is a God; why can’t DC do it with Wonder Woman who is also from a more fantasy-type world like Thor.
I would like to see this film actually happen, along with the many other great superheroes in the DC Universe.
@Neb66 Not sure Jodi Lyn O’Keefe would make a good WW, she looks too…dominican. Seriously though, her features are too hard.
Jessica Biel don’t seem the type either. Maybe an unknown or little known actor.
