There is a wild RUMOR flying around that Megan Fox is the favorite to play She-Hulk in a spinoff film of The Incredible Hulk.
If this totally unsubstantiated rumor somehow turns out to be true, it would mean that Megan Fox is about to star in a trifecta of comic book films: she’s already been confirmed to play the titular role in an adaptation of Michael Turner’s Fathom, and she’ll also have a role in the upcoming adaptation of Jonah Hex.
That comic book-clout doesn’t even count the box office clout she’s going to have when Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen explodes into theaters and IMAX this Summer. Anyway you look at, it’s a good time to be Megan Fox.
This is what an “inside source” close to the wild rumor about She-Hulk had to say about Megan Fox taking on the role:
“‘She-Hulk’ comics are popular so it’s only natural that the character makes the transition to the big screen. The idea is to make She-Hulk sexier but even more savage than the Hulk, which is why Megan is the big favourite for the lead. She’ll be green of course and will have to hang on to a few more pieces of clothes than the male version when she transforms!”
Sounds totally reliable (sarcasm alert!).
She-Hulk is, of course, the female version of The Incredible Hulk. In the original comics, She-Hulk is Jennifer Walters, the cousin of Bruce Banner, who is shot and critically wounded by mobsters. Having the same DNA and blood-type as Jennifer, Bruce Banner transfuses her with his own gamma-irradiated blood to save her life, inadvertently transforming her into the She-Hulk.

Now, I agree with this “inside source” that Megan Fox is sexier than The Hulk, but more savage? The only “savage” side of Megan Fox I know of is the one from Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, and even that was more bitchy than savage. There’s also the fact that Megan Fox is well under the height requirement for “Amazonian,” and I’m not sure hers is the kind of beauty that translates to green. You need an actress that can do green in order to pull off She-Hulk.
Uma Thurman is more the type of actress that can “do green.” And Kill Bill definitely showed us her savage side. She even played an angry super heroine in My Super Ex-Girlfriend. Bulk her up a little, paint her green… Just saying…
Seriously though, I hope this rumor is debunked sooner before later, because I don’t think Megan Fox is the girl to play She-Hulk. It’s going to be enough seeing her get wet n’ wild in Fathom; let that bit of fun end there.

I can care less about her body, NOBODY playing a comic book character looks exactly like their comic book counterpart, the thing that disqualifies her is the fact that she can’t act to save her life. And how green make-up over her half an inch thick layer of make-up would work I have no idea…

Speaking for just myself, I personally would enjoy seeing a She-Hulk movie, but I’d be afraid to go see it in theaters. I fear the audience would just laugh and not take it seriously, as someone else on here previously stated. Or see it as just another case of sexploitation, unless they can figure out a realistic way to show She-Hulk transformed without any nudity like they do in the comics and cartoons. The other question is whether any actress out there would be willing to take on such a role.

I personally would not like to see her as She-Hulk, I could -in less than 15 seconds- name a list of women from the top of my head who would be better fit for the role. But I do not think she’s fit for the role, she doesn’t have the real acting skills yet and it’s just going to be about her sexing up the film, which I wouldn’t have any problem with an older -hm more expierienced actress doing that.

Ms Fox certainly is pleasant to look at and a sure fit into any movie into which a pretty face, nice curves, and not too much dialogue are the main requirements. However, her calling Americans who believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman hillbillies and white trash alienates the majority of Americans who believe in traditional marraige. Although most Americans believe that gays should have equal rights regarding the majority of issues in the US, they don’t believe that gays should have the right to call themselves marry and instead believe that civil unions are the way to go. Ms Fox is in the vast MINORITY on this issue and will become a liability to any studio who casts her in a role if she keeps up with these types of comments. Anyone remember Susan Sarandon or Tim Robbins last successful movie? I certainly don’t and I would hate to see Ms Fox in the same situation.
