Fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK have been eagerly awaiting the return of the fan-favorite spin-off of RuPaul’s Drag Race for quite some time. The highly anticipated RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 4 has finally been announced to premiere on Thursday, September 22, on WOW Presents+ with 12 new queens competing for the crown. After the incredibly disappointing RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs. The World, loyal viewers of the show are itching to see a new winner be crowned. Since the show’s successful premiere in 2019, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK has been a consistent favorite among fans of the Drag Race fandom.

Premiering on WOW Presents+ and BBC Three, the series has since crowned The Vivienne, Lawrence Chaney, and Krystal Versace for the first three seasons. It also launched a North American tour dubbed RuPaul’s Drag Race: British Invasion and allowed RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 1 winner, The Vivienne, to compete on the all-winners season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars. Now, with RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 4 on the horizon, fans will be introduced to even more queens with incredible charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent from across the UK.

Filled with well-known and newer queens, including RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’s first transgender queen, this cast is sure to be one to watch. 38-year-old Cheddar Gorgeous from Manchester, England, believes she is the first queen to hold a doctoral degree and gets her name from the British landmark Cheddar Gorge. 22-year-old Dakota Schiffer of Sussex, England, is the first openly transgender contestant on RPDR to compete in the UK series. 26-year-old Baby from South London, England, gets her drag name from being the youngest of five siblings, whereas 38-year-old Copper Topp from Cheltenham, England, draws inspiration from Julie Walters, Victoria Wood, and the Cheeky Girls. Essex, England, native Just May has been doing drag for 10 years; her name is a play on the phrase "just me." As for 36-year-old Le Fil from Brighouse, England, draws inspiration from her background in Chinese art and culture. 23-year-old Sminty Drop of Clitheroe, England, is in the same house as RPDR UK's Gothy Kendoll, who infamously went home first.

As the first bearded queen to compete on RPDR UK, Danny Beard from Liverpool, England, has a lot to live up to. Even though he is the seventh to compete in the franchise, he will be the first bearded queen to be judged by RuPaul herself. Afro-Jamaican contestant Black Peppa, from Birmingham, England, is the drag daughter of RPDR alum Mo Heart. The 29-year-old's drag name derives from her love of spicy food and the popular children’s show Peppa Pig. Jonbers Blonde is from Belfast, Ireland, and has been doing drag for over 14 years. She's worked with superstars such as Mel C. from Spice Girls, Sam Smith, and Olly Alexander of Years & Years. South African queen Starlet from Surrey, England, draws much of her inspiration from old Hollywood and is the fifth queen from Africa to compete in the RPDR franchise. 30-year-old Pixie Polite from Brighton, England, comes from a large drag family, including previous RuPaul's Drag Race UK alumni Baga Chipz, Sum Ting Wong, and Tia Kofi, the latter of which she revealed she once dated.

Fans will get to know the queen more when the new season premieres on September 22. This upcoming season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is shaping up to be one for the books, with queens hailing from all across the United Kingdom competing yet again for the crown. With so much charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent entering the competition, these new drag queens will be fighting wig and nail, and fans need it after the largely disliked RPDR: UK vs. TW.
