Marvel finally broke the news and released the title for the upcoming third Spider-Man solo movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home which will see Tom Holland brilliantly reprise his role as Peter Parker alongside Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds.

The day before this, however, the three actors toyed with fans on social media by releasing fake titles on their personal accounts before the main title was revealed by Marvel. Tom Holland posted a photo of the title Spider-Man: Phone Home, Jacob Batalon posted Spider-Man: Home Wrecker while Zendaya went with Spider-Man: Home Slice. Once fans discovered these were jokes, it didn't take long for some hilarious reactions to hit social media.

Three Spider-Men

One of the theories that has gained a lot of traction on the internet is that Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire will reprise their roles as their own respective Peter Parkers from the previous Spider-Man movies, with the three titles being correlated to the three Peter Parkers in the movie.

Keep in mind that nothing about Maguire or Garfield's involvement has been mentioned by Marvel or anyone official at this point while Tom Holland also said on Jimmy Fallon that they do not cameo in the movie. Even though fans could potentially be setting themselves up for disappointment, anything is possible when it comes to Marvel so never say never. It would certainly be one of the biggest moments in any Spider-Man movie to date.

Wanda

In a recent episode of WandaVision, Monica Rambeau manages to scramble her way back inside the Hex and goes to try and reason with Wanda. Given that recently Monica seemingly fired a drone missile at Wanda, even though it was Director Hayward, Wanda is not interested in anything Monica has to say.

She tosses Monica outside and shouts "All you do is lie!" which seems fitting for this situation as fans knew exactly what the cast was up to. This user made sure to post that clip in response to Zendaya's troll.

Agatha All Along

Fans of WandaVision will no doubt recognize this reaction as fans uncovered the real culprit behind the posts from the three actor's accounts. Agatha Harkness brought fans one of the catchiest theme tunes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Given that it was revealed that Agatha was controlling numerous people in the Hex, maybe she was controlling Holland, Zendaya, and Batalon too? It sure seems like something she would do and brag about.

Work From Home

It turns out that the fake titles from Marvel only inspired some other fans to come up with their own ideas for what the movie should be called. One Twitter user used some impressive graphic design skills to put together a pandemic-fitting title that included "Home" in the title.

It's safe to say that Spider-Man: Work From Home would make for a far less action-filled movie than No Way Home but the creativity in the poster is applauded.

The Classic

It didn't take long for the classic multiple Spider-Men meme to make an appearance in response to the multiple titles. The meme originates from the 1960's Spider-Man cartoon where the villain is attempting to impersonate everyone's friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

This also nods to the theory that the multiple titles could be hinting at the multiple Spider-Men that may appear. Another popular theory is that the color schemes of the titles relate to the previous villains that will appear with the blue tint nodding to Electro, the grey to Doc-Ock, and the green to Hobgoblin.

Spider-Man: Far From Okay

New title reveals is one sure-fire way to get MCU fan's heartbeats racing and Marvel are experts by now at teasing the fans until their hearts almost explode and then delivering big at the right moment. But until that moment, there's a lot of fainting, typing, searching, speculating, and scrolling.

One fan took the time to combine the titles of Spider-Man: Far From Home and Loki to accurately describe how everyone was feeling about these faux titles.

Vision

Another reference from WandaVision episode seven appeared. As Vision and Darcy rush back to Wanda to find out exactly what's going on, Vision finds himself in the middle of an interview with presumably Agatha Harkness, who was revealed to be an antagonist (and interviewer) in the show, where he mentions that he is not amused with everything that has happened.

Safe to say this quote sums up the feelings of every fan when they saw the three titles. Audiences were not amused when Marvel decided to toy with their excitement of one of the most anticipated future projects.

Tom Holland Himself

One of the best Twitter reactions actually comes from Spider-Man himself Tom Holland, who took to social media to post the above gif of him drinking tea as fans go crazy with speculation. Tom has been comically criticized by fans and celebrities that he always ends up spoiling something about the Marvel movies he is in, while he advocates, many times, that he hasn't actually spoiled anything.

It must be fun to be able to simply be in a position to tweet an emoji of a spider and watch the internet lose their minds and have every outlet run speculation articles all while sitting back enjoying a cup of tea. Well played Tom, well played.
