Sorry but that’s not the whole movie. He wasn’t just taking the company down. He was also embezzling money from the company at the same time. This is a true story. I saw the real guy on the discovery investigation channels. He went to prison and everything. So no, your summary is not the whole movie.

@Lank, sorry but “Burn After Reading” went from my dvd player right into the garbage. I even used a sharpie on it so nobody could watch it if they found it in the dumpster.
This film seems to follow Clooney’s type of company underdog plot exposing a corporate scandel. However while watching the trailer Damon in every scene is portrayed as a moron who comically stumbles through the film as everyone around him reacts to his actions and in the predictable end he takes down the company.
I’m all for everyone digging what they dig but this looks like a pass to me.

790, Burn After Reading was fantastic! You can make any film’s plot sound stupid if you reduce it to one sentence, this looks pretty good.

Also watched this trailer during “Public Enemies”.

Matt Damon plays a retarded business man that rats out his grain company CEO’s. That’s it, that’s the film.
While watching this I kept thinking was the real guy this moronic…? Oh its a Clooney Production. Ha,ha another Burn After Reading type film.
Avoid at all costs,,,

Hahah, he looks a little like Brad Pitt in Inglorious Basterds. But I really like the style of comedy they’re using. It almost seems like a sitcom episode where the goofy guy gets a wire. i.e. Kramer, George Costanza, Jim Ignatoski, Frasier/Niles, Radar, Klinger, etc… Which could be a problem, not in the fact that it’s like a sitcom, but in the fact that they’ll drown whatever isn’t comedy and make it a moral dilemma. I also prefer Damon in these kind of roles, as he’s been pegged as the action guy, (at least to me) since Bourne.
