The latest trailers for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite give players an insight into the game's story and gameplay, while teasing the villains gamers will face. For comic book fans who dream of pitting their favorite heroes and villains against one another, 2017 will be a great year. DC has already released Injustice 2, allowing gamers to take control of updated versions of Joker, Green Lantern, Harley Quinn and dozens of others. Not to be outdone, Marvel will soon be releasing their own fighting game sequel, with the characters of Capcom along for the ride.

Back in December, the first trailer was released for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, the next iteration in the hit franchise. And while plenty of characters from games like Mega Man and Street Fighter will be on display, it's clear that Marvel is taking the lead. At one point, it could be argued that the two franchise shared popularity. With the dominance of the MCU, however, it makes sense that Marvel would put their heroes and villains front and center. Even the conceit of the game revolves around the Infinity Stones, which will play into next year's epic Avengers: Infinity War.

With the game just a few months away, Marvel has released two new trailers for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, highlighting the story and gameplay. The story trailer above continues the reveal of Ultron Sigma from two months ago, this time showing the desperate heroes teaming up with Thanos in order to fight the villain. In the trailer, we also get our first look at Gamora, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Nova. We then see Mega Man ally Zero, who will be brainwashed into fighting the heroes in the new game. Meanwhile, the latest gameplay trailer shows off what it will actually be like to play the new installment in the series.

The new gameplay trailer continues on from previous line-ups we've seen. The first introduced us to Captain America and the idea of the Infinity Stones, while the second revealed Rocket and Ultron Sigma. In the latest one, we see a variety of line-ups from across Marvel Comics and Capcom games.

Nova and Doctor Strange get even more of a spotlight here than in the story trailer, with Rocket lending a hand and Groot making his first appearance. There's also plenty of Thanos and Zero, joining forces and harnessing the power of the Reality Stone. On the Capcom side, we see Dante from Devil May Cry and Arthur from Ghosts 'n Goblins.

Though Marvel will likely include some more obscure characters, it'll be the Capcom pantheon that will offer fans plenty of deep cuts. With months to go until the game is released, expect many more trailers and a lot more character reveals in the weeks to come.
