Marvel TV isn't planning on slowing down any time soon, they're looking to craft a new female led series, in the style of Jessica Jones. This shouldn't be so surprising given that Jessica Jones is one of the most popular Netflix shows in the run up to The Defenders. With many TV projects currently in development, there's no word whether this new female led series would exist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Currently, Marvel TV are developing New Warriors, as well as Cloak and Dagger on Freeform. And Hulu is adapting The Runaways. The two Freeform series have been specifically written so that spinoffs could be made for individual characters. And since the most well known name out of the New Warriors that they're using is Squirrel Girl - could we see Doreen Green in her own solo adventures?

It's recently been confirmed that the new female led show will appear on ABC, and since Freeform is part of the studio it would make sense that this is where the hero well debut. Since Disney owns ABC, it's likely they're looking to have a similar situation to The CW and Warner Bros. for their comic book shows. THR spoke to Karim Zreik, VP of Marvel TV Original Programming, at Edinburgh TV Fest, he only teased the new show briefly:

"It's Jessica Jones-esque. We want to target different audiences"

But if they want to debut a different hero in her own series, there's plenty to choose from. And although they're looking for a different audience to hit from the Netflix shows there's still plenty of potential. Since she's already been a main team member for a while on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daisy Johnson A.K.A. Quake could easily lead her own show on the network. And because she's part of S.H.I.E.L.D. that could bring in the investigative style of Jessica Jones that Zreik mentioned.

But if Marvel really want to expand their TV universe and choose a new hero, She-Hulk could be the way to go. Her day job as a lawyer would be an excellent way of bringing that real-world relatability to the network. Plus, her solo series could be the connective tissue between the TV show and the MCU, since she's Bruce Banner's cousin. And although it might not be as comedic as Squirrel Girl or New Warriors, it would be able to engage different audiences. Or the series could bring a different Inhuman to our screens, Kamala Khan anybody? She's the right age to tap into a younger audience, but also has some incredible storylines.
