After the huge opening weekend of Iron Man, nobody should be surprised to hear a Shellhead sequel has been greenlit for a summer 2010 release – April 30, 2010 to be exact.
No, ladies and germs, the surprise is that Marvel Films has come outright and announced their entire slate of projects from now to 2011.

In addition to Iron Man 2, Matthew Vaughn’s Thor will be unveiled to the world on June 4, 2010. If you recall, that was the one where the first draft of the script was estimated to have cost $300 million(!) to produce.
For 2011, the House of Ideas plans on launching a two-film series, both being released across the summer.
First, there’s The First Avenger: Captain America for May 6, 2011. Ugh. Lose the front-half of that title for crying out loud!
And by July 2011, comic-book nerds and dorks alike across the world will rejoice in the release of The Avengers.
That’s rights, you’ll finally get to see Captain America, Iron Man, Thor & Co. team up to kick… some super villain’s butt – I’m guessing Ultron. *Shrugs*
Interestingly, there’s absolutely no mention of any Hulk follow-ups.
Speaking of Hulk, it’s even more troubling that Marvel Films has still not kicked the campaign for The Incredible Hulk into full-gear, and it’s release is only a month away; especially when compared to the year and a half of hard-core marketing on Iron Man.
I think it’s obvious that just as Marvel Films knew they had a winner in Iron Man, they know that they don’t with The Incredible Hulk.
I mean seriously, how else can you explain their silence regarding that film?!?

I have read that Djimon Honsou is defintely being seriously considered for the role of the Black Panther. I think Matt Damon would make a great Captain America. For Cap to work overseas he’s going to have to be a conspiracy type movie with Cap bringing down a rogue organization within the US government.. Sorry but America is a dirty word overseas and that does not mean I support that line of thinking. I did live in the middle east and Europe for eight years.
Iron Man worked because of the quality of the actors they chose. If you place bad actors in these roles then the movies will get a bad result. Anyone remember The Punisher with Dolph L.
I think the guy who played Seraph in the MAtrix Reloaded would be an ideal Shang Chi. Matthew McC would be a good choice for Hawkeye in the Avengers movie. Thor is a tough one.. Need a guy built like a brick house who has good acting chops.

Collin Chou was the guy that played Seraph in the Matrix. He would be awesome as Shang Chi with Chow Yung Fat as Fu Man Chu.

Greenknight (or should I call you Sir Gawain), I didn’t think of him. Yes, he would make a wonderful Shang Chi.
Vladimir Kulich would physically be ideal for Thor although I am not sure how old he is now but he is the actor who played Buliwyf(sounds like Beowolf) in the 13 th warrior with Antonio Banderas. He looked like Thor in the movie and he was a Norse Warrior in that movie.
I always thought Vladimir Kulich was good for Thor, too, but he is probably too old now. Last thing I saw him in was Smokin’ Aces in which he portrayed “The Swede.”
Matt Damon finally earned my respect in the last Bourne movie. Before that he was far too baby-faced for me to really consider the possibility of him to be even close to the same league as a Bond level character. He is beginning to show some maturity and was good in The Departed, too.
His only problem is height/size. He is supposed to be 5′10″ but he never comes off that size to me. Maybe it is just who he is cast with. I would need to see him in a costume and acting before really determining if he could command the respect that the character should have.
People keep talking about the ‘America’ in Captain America. I know this is about international box office $$, but adding ‘The First Avenger’ to the title doesn’t change who he is, and I doubt it will add much interest internationally. Studio execs can be such idiots.
I’m interested to see what Ironman turns out globally. There was quite a bit of America talk (different tone than a Cap film I’m sure), I doubt it would turn off international viewers.
Leave Cap alone. And GI Joe, and Justice League of America for that matter
i know i’m a bit late but, greenknight, casting is not always the problem. a good example would be all 3 x-men movies. the only ones they got right with the casting was patrick stewart as xavier, and kelsey grammar as the beast. the reason why the punisher with dolph lungren wasn’t all that had nothing to do with the casting, but the fact that the storyline sucked. for instance the last punisher movie they made (i think in 2003 or 4) was hot. that was the one with john travolta as the bad guy. the storline, the plot, the cast, all made the whole movie enjoyable. funny thing is i don’t remember it hitting the big screen. I saw it on dvd. Now there’s talk about a sequel to that one. the messed up thing is that they got some guy who looks like steven segal playing frank castle. why can’t they just get some chisled dude with a square rectagular face, who looks like someone no one wants to mess with. the studio execs never seem to cast someone who looks like the comic book character. for instance, they should have gotten iman to play storm, instead they chose halle berry. but they went with berry because of her sex appeal. plus, when the first x-men came out halle berry was beginning to become a hot commodity. but regardless what anyone says, sex appeal doesn’t always sell, especially when you’re making a movie out of comic book characters. i personally care more about the actor looking like the character, then think about if they can act or not. if they can’t, then that’s what rehersals are for.
Quicksilver (son of Magneto LOL), you are right about Berry. Storm was from Africa, and Berry doesn’t have the accent or the look of an African. Iman would have been a better choice. I also think that the guy who played Nightcrawler (Alan Cumming) was perfect; and Rebecca Romijn as Mystique…OHHHH MAAAN!!
Berry is a prima-donna on top of it all, too, and was apparently the cause for Jackman to get an even bigger head on himself and James Marsden to nearly up and quit before X-3 was completed (he was fed up with both of them, I guess).
I even thought Gina Torres would be as good a choice as Berry. When Berry declined to wear contacts I just wanted to beat her to death. *I* wanted to see the Ororo that Claremont/Byrne designed, period.
My only issue with Mystique was the complete butchering of her original character (okay, maybe only 75% butchered). At some point I just had to sit back and enjoy the movies for what they were, but I still think the first one was pretty “meh.”
Alan Cumming was great but I guess he was not ever going to do a character that required as much make-up as Nightcrawler did ever again.
I would personally have liked to see more Colossus; he was too cool in my book. So, if they ever do another X movie, we can expect to see more Halle Berry as Storm leading the team with Kitty Pryde, Colossus, Iceman, Angel and bonus people.
On the subject of Captain America, I have been really examining Matt Damon as a potential. The one thing I found interesting, though, is that Matthew McConaughey is only a year older than he is
(Damon is sorta like me, doesn’t even remotely look his age [38]).
yeah, i wanted to see more of colossus myself. i would probably even prefer them to introduce the sentinels in the next movie, and have the x-men battle them. however, i do think that they should advance the movie by about 8-10 years. enough with having rogue and iceman playing teenagers. look, if gambit is going to be in the next movie, how is he (being a grown man) going to have the hots a teenaged rogue. that’s pure pedophilia, man.
plus, i still say that cyclops is not dead. jean is dead, but why does something tell me that the x-men rushed her to the medics, where she is now unconscious, healing from her wounds that wolvie gave her.
X-Men 4, set 8 to 10 years from X3. I like that idea.

What will make this Movie more interesting than any other marvel movie is the “Plot” and that’s sticking to the bio of the character “Ororo Munroe a.k.a Storm”.Allow us to believe that Halle is the character by bringing back the features and recognition of Storm (White Hair, blue eyes, dark skin, and Kenyan accent),and give Stan Lee and Cockrum their props for making Storm. Halle Berry might not be dark skin, because she is our modern day Storm, and she is the only actress up for grabs and she seems to be more dedicated now than ever. She and the portrayed character deserves this personal screentime and I’ll be the first one to know if it’s in development (making). This will probably make more money than “Xmen Origins: Wolverine “, and my money is on Storm movie. This will bring Marvel Inc. back to the top depending on who directs and produce. My major point to this meaningful opinion is to allow 20th Century Fox consider this everyones wildest of dreams. The whole point of Storm being created and born (first appearance 1975) was to allow her to stand out from the crowd, and she was born with an attitude of a leader. Do not get me wrong she is an Xman, but before she became an Xman known as Storm, she was Ororo Munroe (and still is), we need to know and bring her to cinematics instead of just seeing her as animated. Halle Berry decided to do this not only to help her career get back on top (due to her daughter Nahla), but to make it up for, well, ruining Storm for us. I agree with those who hated Halle as Storm because she looked liked she was playing dress up, but that’s the fault of the: make-up, no blue eye contacts, no kenyan accent, dreadful hair, and most of all no tiara, or original costumes. These are all of the things which made others have second opinions on Storm being their favorite Xmen Character. I, once again want this film to have time put into it like the other Marvel & DC films (”Superman Returns”, “Watcmen”, “Incredible Hulk” and Fantastic Four films to name a few). 20th Century Fox I know this can be made possible, it’s just a matter of time.

Okay so I’m am one of the biggest comic book fans that I know and I’m only sventeen, but all of you guys who know so much about how these comics/movies should try to get some of your ideas out and be the ones that come up with new and great ideas that we the people are willing to watch. Some of these mindless producers really need to read your story’s. Like GreenKnight333 you got really good actors for the roles of the characters that are based off of comics. Quicksilver also has really goo ideas for the future of the X-men movies.
I love to go around a see what people come up with for comic film adaptions and I actually find really good ones(Batman3, Spider-man4, and lots of others) and I think they need to be shared with these movie makers because they dont need to waste money.

I know alot of peole anticipate a character like MoonKnight.
However a movie like Son Of Satan could be so much FUN if done right and meant to be fun.
