  1. Gatt as… The Executioner:

Skurge was born in Jotunheim, and later became a warrior, gaining his name the Executioner after fighting in a war against the Storm giants. Skurge has always had feelings for Amora, the Enchantress, and regularly aided her in various evil schemes to gain control of Asgard. However, the Enchantress only manipulates him, using her charms to keep Skurge under her thrall. Loki, the trickster God, also has used Skurge many times.

  2. i am so going to be on the first showing of sherlock holmes on the 25th… cant wait

  3. as if i really needed another reason to go see Sherlock Holmes, a trailer for iron man 2 will be awesome….hope i dont yell too loudly at the trailer…am a total geek i guess lol

  4. I think not showing the IM2 trailer in front of Avatar is a huge mistake. People who go to see Sherlock holmes already know about Iron Man because of RDJ so putting it in front of Avatar would have given it more exposure. That’s just me.

  5. @M-Cat

You are right, but does Iron Man really need anymore exposure. It is going to be huge next year, cant think of anything else coming in 2010 that excites me in the same way.

Cannot wait for Sherlock Holmes though!!! Is going to be huge.

  6. I guess not Sam (aka one of the guys who isn’t in love with my Dark Knight). Everyone already knows about Iron Man. IM2 should be the biggest movie of 2010, I think.

  7. Joheph Gatt looks like he would make an awesome Absorbing Man!! In the comics he gets his powers from Loki to battle Thor, maybe they’re going that route for him.

  8. I hope they are going to put the trailer online at the same time because I’m not going to watch Sherlock Holmes in theater… Maybe I’ll go watch Avatar again that weekend Holmes comes out and sneak into the theater in the beginning to watch the trailer… Then go and watch Avatar again… lol.

  9. Exactly what i was thinking,i’m not going to see sherlock holmes,so i hope the trailer will be online before then.

  10. @ Ken, macca

We hope it shows up the day prior to Sherlock’s release as we commonly see but if it doesn’t, expect it that weekend anyway :)

  11. Every time I see RDJ as Tony Stark I’m reminding that he was cast perfectly for the role. I really now can’t see anyone else as Stark!

I can’t believe you guys are dissing Sherlock Holmes so harshly. I think it looks like it’s going to be a fun movie. It’s not going to win any Oscars, but I think it just MIGHT outdo Avatar that weekend.

  12. @L&L,

oooo Didn’t even catch that. Much better comparison then Executioner.

  13. @Andy S…

I think Sherlock Holmes will hold its own quite well against Avatar on Christmas weekend, and you’re absolutely right … RDJ IS Tony Stark, period. Nobody else could have brought Stark to life quite like Mr. D. :)

  14. “It’s not going to win any Oscars” is basically another way of saying “come on, it’s going to be stupid, but just try to enjoy it anyway!” I used that for Punisher Warzone so… :-D

I don’t know, Holmes looks too cheesy for me to spend money on it. My friend has the free rentals monthly account thing, I’ll wait for it to go on rental and I’ll see if he wants to rent it, lol.

  15. @Ken J…

Last I checked a movie doesn’t have to be Oscar-worthy to be a good movie. Actually, most Oscar-worthy movies are pretty damn boring if you ask me. I’ll take Iron Man and The Dark Knight over Slumdog Millionaire ANY day of the week. I am in no way saying that Sherlock Holmes is going to be as good as IM or TDK, but I think it will be WAY more entertaining than Slumdog Millionaire (or the Oscar-buzz movie equivalent.)

  16. @Andy S

LOL, come on dude, you know I don’t give a rat’s ass about the Oscars. I’m saying when someone uses that statement, that’s what it really means. Why else would you feel compelled to stipulate that while recommending a movie? And it looks like the type of movie that you would make that statement for. It does look cheesy and stupid, but I’m not saying it won’t be entertaining for people who enjoy that. It probably will be entertaining, if I didn’t think so I wouldn’t even waste my time watching it on rental…

  17. The dude in the picture up there looks like the Toxic Avenger…

  18. crusher creel…bring it!

  19. Yeah, I’m getting kind of tired of the vampire genre, although, the one vampire novel I read that didn’t stink was one called “Queen of Darkness”. It was incredibly good, but otherwise, I wish the vampire genre would go away.

As for Thor, I’m still getting conflicting reports on who is actually in the movie. Is it all gossip?
