I have been avoiding GI Joe articles because I have a REALLY REALLY bad feeling about it. From the gimmicky costumes, to the casting of typical “hip” looking actors and “hot” little chicks to play the “badass” female role, to the gimmicky “ninja” guy (yes I know he’s part of the GI Joe toy line and cartoons, but I still can’t help but cringe a little when I see him). But you know what, Dennis Quaid will be in it, so I’ll probably see it, but most likely not in theaters, I’ll wait for the rental.

i hated the cartoon… but then knowing that marlon wayans was going to be in it made me change my idea of not going… “and knowings half the battle…!”…lol. No but seriously… only reason i am watching it is because of marlon…

I’ll give the movie a chance but I’m not expecting Oscar worthy stuff. I just want some great action and a decent story with decent acting.

how many people thought Michael Keaton was going to make Batman some comedy-laden superhero? I think Marlon has what it takes to be a very good action star. I’m going to give him a chance.

i have never consider a flick to be cheesy just because Mr Wayans is performing. I think he is more than capable of doing comedy and action without any strings

those who feel that he might make it cheesy, need a reality check, because when he is a goof, i am sure most of the time he is just playing.
