I agree, I think this movie will be entirely different style than what we saw in QoS.

Speaking of which, only two scenes drove me nuts in terms of camera-work: The opening car chase and the hanging-from-ropes fight.

Just because Forster is directing this movie does not mean that it is going to be a "fast, chopped up action film with little or no time for story or character development."

This book was vastly different from Zombie stories that have come before it. I seriously recommend you read the book. It really is quite good! :)

While it is possible that Forster will stick to one style, and only direct movies in that fashion, it's also possible that with a completely different subject matter, his style will change. How about we wait until a trailer comes out before we rule this movie out? Seriously, you won't be disappointed with the book! Pick it up! It was a truly good read. It was a story about humanity, not horror.

Unless they completely deviate from the book, the style of the story will help steer it away from all the crap that is ever present in zombie flicks these days.

I agree with Vic.

Another fast, chopped up action film with little or no time for story or character development.

Only this time it isn't Bond or Bourne,
It's Zombies!

Wait, didn't we already have that with 28 days/weeks later?

Rental. (Unless I have free pass laying around)

Vic,

sounds like the same experience I had with Bourne Supremacy (entire film was a shaky close-up of Damon's face). I'll find out what you mean when I see QoS tonight.

Why are alot of films using these crazy close-ups all the time, I want to see more on giant theatre screens.

After seeing how Forster shot the action sequences in Quantum of Solace I think I may have to pass on this one.

Guys, if you have the time, please read this. It's really good. Completely original. It is nothing like Cloverfield. As a book, it worked great. Just a bunch of interviews and stories from different people around the world. Each story, even though from different people, slowly told the story of the Zombie war, and how man fought back. It was amazing. I just don't know how to do it as a movie. Every couple of minutes cut to a different person, then fade into the visual of the story they are telling? It might be hard to do, but I loved that book.

I enjoyed the book about 2 years ago! I think this will be an excellent movie, if done right.

Also, check out the zombie books (and others) from David Wellington, like Monster Island, etc.

The setup sounds a bit like Cloverfield, one story in a bunch of stories, never knowing what exactly is going on, this could be nice :)
