As part of the ongoing Geeked Week celebrations, Netflix has officially unveiled the first clip of the Manifest season 4 revival. First airing in 2018 on NBC, Manifest tells the story of a group of plane passengers who suddenly reappear after going missing for five years. The show features a slow-burn mystery as the passengers attempt to figure out how and why they disappeared, while also struggling to understand the voices and visions they experience, which appear to foretell future events. Despite a passionate fan base, however, NBC canceled Manifest after season 3.

With Manifest season 3 ending on a major cliffhanger and creator Jeff Rake originally pitching the show to NBC with a six-season arc, there were clearly more stories to tell. Although initial negotiations to find a new home for the show fell apart, Netflix ultimately decided to save Manifest show and renew it for a final season 4 consisting of 20 episodes. Although not much is known about the plot of the upcoming Manifest season 4, it has been confirmed that a number of central cast members will return, including Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, Luna Blaise, Parveen Kaur, Holly Taylor, Daryl Edwards, and Matt Long, among others.

Now, Netflix has provided the first official look at the Manifest revival, teasing some of what is to come in season 4. The two-minute clip, which is introduced by Dallas, features Michaela Stone snooping around a shipping yard before discovering an injured man trapped in a shipping container. "Stone 828" is ominously carved into the skin of the man's forearm. Check out the new clip below:

Manifest is known for its slow-burn mystery, and Netflix's revived season 4 certainly seems to be sticking with that trend. It's unclear what the message on the man's arm means just yet, but 828 is the flight number of the original missing plane, hinting at a larger conspiracy going on. Fortunately, loyal audiences will likely not have to wait much longer for a concrete Manifest season 4 release date, with Netflix expected to announce this sooner rather than later.

Netflix is no stranger to reviving beloved series, but not all of those series turn out to be as successful as their previous incarnations. Arrested Development, for example, was revived by Netflix for season 4 and 5, both of which saw a noticeable dip in quality. While it's still too early to tell whether Manifest will share a similar fate, the new clip hints that it's still very much the same show that viewers fell in love with when it first aired in 2018. The new Manifest season 4 clip also teases that the central mystery regarding Flight 828 that has been driving the show thus far will finally be solved before the last installment is over.
