Black Panther star Lupita Nyong'o reveals she went disguised as the Pink Power Ranger to this year's San Diego Comic-Con. It's become a bit of a tradition every year at the convention for some stars to disguise themselves in cosplay costumes and walk the convention floor, often so that they can experience the convention firsthand without drawing too much attention to themselves. In the past, actors like Bryan Cranston, Daniel Radcliffe, Matt Smith, and more have all dressed up as pop culture characters at the convention, only to reveal their disguises then afterward.
Few actors are quite as popular amongst the Comic-Con community right now too, than Lupita Nyong'o. After all, not only is the Academy Award-winning actress an important member of Disney and Lucasfilm's new Star Wars trilogy, but the actress is set to play a vital role in next year's Black Panther solo film from Marvel Studios.
Nyong'o hasn't been afraid of expressing her excitement about her involvement in these properties, after just recently geeking out about the first Black Panther teaser trailer. And while she was attending this year's San Diego Comic-Con - to help promote Black Panther - the actress has revealed on Twitter today that she spent some time walking around the convention dressed as the Pink Power Ranger. Check out the reveal video for yourself down below:

As Comic-Con grows in size and popularity with each passing year, it's becoming more and more common for actors and actresses like Nyong'o to join in on the fun surrounding the convention. As anyone who was there in attendance, or has checked out the panel online can attest as well, Nyong'o was quick to express her excitement about being at the convention while appearing in Hall H Saturday night with the rest of her Black Panther cast.
And considering that the footage Marvel revealed from Black Panther during the film's SDCC panel this past weekend was reportedly met with a standing ovation from the fans in Hall H - a rare occurrence for even the Comic-Con crowd - it feels fair to say that Nyong'o's clout amongst the fans will only continue to grow over the next few months. With just how many popular actors and actresses were in attendance this year - some for the first time and others now veterans of the convention - it's entirely possible that Nyong'o wasn't the only one to don a disguise and take a walk around the convention center this past weekend either.
