Josh Goldstein is entering the Love Island USA season 3 villa as a 24-year-old college baseball athlete, and some fans want to learn more about his career in sports. From Haverhill, Massachusetts, Josh is a college athlete with a very long career in baseball. He is of Hungarian descent and considers himself a "good guy." As such, Josh doesn't want to get labeled as a "player" who is just trying to have fun in the villa.

Dating reality TV franchises such as Love IslandThe Bachelor, and Too Hot To Handle are no strangers to casting former and current sports athletes. These are usually athletic, young individuals who understand discipline and thrive in competitive environments. Last year, the American edition of Love Island also cast a few athletes that were very popular in the villa and with the fandom. It is now Josh's turn to impress the fandom, and some viewers are already curious about his baseball career.

Prior to stepping into Love Island USA on day one, Josh Goldstein was best known as a baseball player. As recorded by Baseball Reference, Josh first started to play for the Southern New Hampshire University Penmen team in 2017. And according to those records, he has still been playing for the SNHU Penmen in 2021. Otherwise, Josh also briefly played for the New Bedford Bay Sox during the summer of 2019. Alas, he went right back to the SNHU Penmen after that summer. The SNHU Penmen is part of the NCAA Division II. Josh plays as a second baseman, shortstop, and centerfielder. Below, you can watch interviews that Josh recorded for the SNHU Penmen channel on YouTube and check out his Instagram picture wearing the team's uniform.

Aside from the life of social media influencer that he'll surely enjoy after appearing on a show as big as Love Island USA season 3, Josh Goldstein has been pretty dedicated to his studies while playing baseball. Per LinkedIn, Josh earned himself a bachelor's degree in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University between 2015 and 2019. He then went after his master's degree in business management and marketing - also from SNHU. In his LinkedIn description, Josh explained that he maintained a 3.75 GPA in college and was a "proud member of the presidential ambassadors as well as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee."

This season of Love Island USA is only getting started, but the viewers are already looking forward to learning more from Josh and his fellow co-stars. First impressions can be pretty important on dating shows, but there is more than enough time for Josh to establish even deeper connections during his time in Hawaii.
