Lost Season 6 header Cool Lost Season 6 Spanish Trailer

With the season 6 of Lost coming at us quick with a start date of the beginning of February, we can expect to see a ramping up of marketing for the show’s epic final season.

Thanks to /Film who found the following clip, we have a new Spanish teaser trailre (with English subtitles) from the TV Network CUATRO who aired this promo for Lost’s Final Season yesterday. While not exactly showing new footage for the next season, it does show a lot in very stylistic way. And if you’re a follower of the show, you need to watch this.

Continue after the jump to see our favorite Lost characters as pawns on a chessboard.

If you don’t get a chance to read all of the words in the clip, I’ve transcribed them below because I think they’re important. As we know, the marketing and the happenings within the show and outside of it are never implemented by accident or without a specific reason.

Watch and enjoy:

Here is what was said:

The Wise Man Said
Life is a Chessboard
Of Night and Days
Where Men Are Pawns of God
Moved Here and There
God Allows Them to Kill
And Kills
And Piece by Piece
He Puts Them Back in the Box
Because There’s a Destiny for Every Piece
For Every Player
And For God
Destiny Will be Fulfilled
Lost: The Final Season
The Game Begins & Ends

It sure sounds like the promo is pointing towards Locke’s “Man of Faith” mantra as opposed to Jack’s “Man of Science” with all this talk of the characters being pawns on a chessboard and that their individual destinies will be fulfilled.

Unlike ABC’s touted replacement for Lost, FlashForward, the characters of Lost are incredibly entertaining to watch and each have something so likable about them, even the “villainous” characters.

For this reason, to see the show come to an end with its final set of episodes is bittersweet in that I’m happy the story is being served justly and ending on the terms of the writers/creators, but I’m sad to see one of my favorite shows ever come to a conclusion.

What do you think of this promo and how excited are you to see cast members returning and secondary characters becoming regulars?

Lost Season 6 begins with a three-hour event on Tuesday, February 2, 2010.

  1. im looking forward to this season. a lot of people say “finally” to the ending and that it has been on way too long and is so confusing, i disagree with that. Lost (if u pay attention to it) is very entertaining and doesnt have a very confusing storyline. from time to time, sure, but in the long run u get it. and each character is so intruiging, if that is the correct word. theres not one character i hate in lost, and there usually is in a tvshow, their development has been fun and creative. im looking forward to get Lost, in it. ehe.. that was just stupid:\

  2. That was a very cool promo, and yes, I’m looking forward to this season if for nothing else, then to see how this all comes together.

Please, oh please have it all make sense!

I recently watched the original British version of The Prisoner and was SO incredibly disappointed with the last 3 episodes and the finale in particular. I really hope something similar doesn’t happen here with Lost.

  3. Vic,

I haven’t watched The Prisoner, but I believe (if memory serves correctly) that it was cancelled at just 10 episodes or something. Don’t worry, trust the writers, they’ll end it well :)

  4. I hate Lost. It’s terrible.

  5. This is one of the best shows on TV. Every season seems to get better and better. If you want a great show to get into…this is the show. It’s full of great acting, well thought out plot lines, intense suspense and a great cast. This show will make you want to watch more. Can’t wait for every “hole” to be revealed in season 6.

  6. The promo looks great, but I have to be honest: I think they waited too long for new episodes. My interest in “Lost” has dissipated…a lot, and I’m now focusing on the new season of “24.” I’m sure I’ll watch “Lost,” but I feel like now it’s mostly because I want to find out how it ends, not because I’m as excited about it as I used to be.
