A week from tomorrow the sixth and final season of ABC’s Lost finally hits the small screen and if you’re a regular Screen Rant reader, you’ll notice we’re big fans of the show. We’ve had countless trailers, posters, character images and other such promos to keep us going until the premiere date arrives, and today we have yet more of that stuff for you Lost fans to enjoy.

Today we have a new promo trailer for Lost‘s season 6; a wicked poster that shows the major locations all over the Island; two interviews (one with some of the cast and one with exec producer and recurring director Jack Bender); and a fan video that shows the Flight 815 crash in real time. Alright, let’s get to it!

First up, let’s take a look at the latest promo trailer; this time it comes from the Spanish TV network, Cuatro (the same one that brought us the phenomenal chess board trailer). It features a few of the major cast members from season 6, including Michael Emerson (Ben), Terry O’Quinn (Locke), Naveen Andrews (Sayid), Nestor Carbonell (Richard), Emilie De Ravin (Claire), Jorge Garcia (Hurley) and Jeff Fahey (Frank), all holding Rorschach blot cards and saying what they think they mean. A bit of a departure from the usual promos you’d expect, as has been the case with most of these international promos. Take a look:

Now let’s take a look at an extremely cool poster from TV channel AXN. It hasn’t been officially released online yet (although I expect we’ll get it soon) so we’ll just have to use this picture taken of the real poster. It shows all the major locations and events that we’ve seen in Lost so far, spread out all over the Island like a map. They include the freighter blowing up, the Four-Toed Statue and the conversation between Jacob and his nemesis that we saw at the beginning of the season 5 finale. It’s a bit all over the place, but I suspect that was the intention on the part of the artist, in order to mimic the complex nature of the show. Here it is (click for much larger version):

Next we have a video featuring some of the major cast members, where they talk about what we have to look forward to in season 6, what they would do if they could travel back in time and how the last season has “thwarted their expectations.” Watch it below:

Next up we have a lengthy 7-minute video interview with Lost exec producer and recurring director, Jack Bender. Bender talks about the challenge of shooting a show like Lost, including mapping out some of the radical ideas found in season 5. Enjoy, courtesy of Sky One:

Finally we have a rather nifty and extremely well put together video that shows the crash of Flight 815 – the event that set Lost in motion – replayed in real time,  24 style. It shows us everything that happened at the exact moment of the crash, from inside the plane with Jack, Locke and Co., to the Others in their houses and Desmond failing to push the button in the Hatch. Check it out:

I love the way they’ve linked up the video so perfectly, even down to when Charlie rushes past Jack on the plane and both the videos line up. That must have taken a lot of time, effort and concentration to get exactly right. Kudos to Youtube user “pyram1dhead” – even Lost co-creator/exec producer/writer Damon Lindelof was impressed by it.

That’s it for today’s Lost promo update. Thoughts on the promo trailer, poster, interviews and the crash video?

Lost season 6 premieres on Tuesday February 2nd at 9:00pm, on ABC.

  1. Great article, I feel this year there's been less material between seasons.
