Catch Up With ‘Lost’ in 8 Minutes & 15 Seconds

One of the best shows on television is about to to kick off the beginning of the end. I’m of course talking about Lost which begins its long-awaited 6th and final season in just a few weeks.

You’ve no doubt heard of this show from both those who love it and from those who hate waiting for answers. If you’re dying to catch-up with the series to watch concluding episodes as they air or if you simply forget all of the craziness that has gone on so far, we have the solution for you!

ABC has released an 8 minute and 15 second long video which recaps all of the major events, plot points and story twists that have occurred throughout the journey we experienced through the first five seasons.

The narrator is pretty comedic and when you think about the basics of each character and the events that have occurred, it’s pretty insane. See for yourself:

The more I think about it, if you’ve not seen any of the first 5 seasons of Lost, this video will likely hurt your brain. I still love it though and I can’t wait to see how the story plays out and just how many of the final big questions get answered. Even if you are new to the show, the ending of this recap will surely capture your interest and you’ll want to know what happens next. That is what Lost is all about and why it is so successful.

Oh, it may be obvious to you but the reason all of these “everything you need to know about Lost” recap videos are 8:15 in running length is because of the infamously cursed numbers present throughout the series: 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 (Hurley’s winning numbers as seen in the above video). It was also of course Oceanic Flight 815 which crash-landed on the island in the first place, starting this whole mess. Well, I suppose it wasn’t the plane’s fault but Desmond’s… well, we don’t know for sure yet. Or do we?

    I've never seen an entire episode of Lost although I have a general idea of the plot over the past 5 seasons thanks to friends who talk about it and a comic-con panel I sat through. I'm not sure why but for some reason the rabid fanboyism/fangirlism associated with the show has always kind of annoyed me and is one of the reasons I still haven't watched it, aside from making the time. I'm not saying that other shows don't have extreme fans it just seems like with Lost that they are extreme² and if you say anything negative about it you are automatically "an idiot" or "you just don't get it". Since I've waited this long I figure I will have a Lost marathon someday soon, especially since I've heard that season 1 & 2 are some of the best genre TV ever created.

    if you do not like LOST then why are you commenting on this? Most of the people who do not enjoy LOST are people who aren't intelligent enough to understand it, or have seen a couple episodes or less and have no idea what is going on. and whoever said that thing about Obama, shut the hell up. This is not a place to rant about politics. Obama is trying everything he can to help out our country, he is thinking about what is best for everyone, stop being so selfish. He actually has his head on straight. He had to clean up the mess that Bush left behind and he is trying to turn around our economy. Be patient.

    so LOST fans freak out when the primere is delayed yet they don't seem to have a problem with the Obama healthcare reform. ThAt pretty much sayS it all folks.

    I guess my priorities are all screwed up.

    When that video was originally on YouTube a year and a half ago it "WAS" 8 minutes and 15 seconds. haha

    The show LOST it's way in season 2 and 3, I think. I had even stopped watching it but season 4 and 5 are good and finally we are going to get some answers.

    Lost is one of the worst popular shows I've ever seen.

    They did a similar thing for the final season of "Battlestar Galactica." Same woman's voice. Same dry humor. Both are very funny. So now "Lost" has done The Last Supper promo and the 'Here's What You Missed' like "Battlestar Galactica."

    I'm just watching season one on DVD and this 8 min and 15 sec did give me a bit of a headache.
