Vitruvius

The Lego Movie Vitruvius The Lego Movie Complete Character Guide

An ancient and heroic wizard who prophesizes that a “Special” will defeat Lord Business and become the greatest LEGO Master Builder of all. He tries to teach Emmet that the key to true building is to believe in yourself and follow your own set of instructions inside your head.

Uni-Kitty

The Lego Movie Uni Kitty 570x171 The Lego Movie Complete Character Guide

Hailing from Cloud Cuckoo Land, the capital of rainbows and puppies, she is half unicorn, half animé kitten and one endless dance party. She is happy to join her fellow LEGO Master Builders in the quest to defeat Lord Business, but she also has a powerful secret.

She is a master of disguise. When needed, she dresses up as Biznis Kitty. When Robo SWATs invade her home, she loses control of her positive thoughts and becomes Angry Kitty. Presumably, when she goes aboard Metalbeard’s Ship ship she becomes Queasy Kitty, and when aboard Benny’s Spaceship she becomes Astro Kitty.

Abraham Lincoln

The Lego Movie Abraham Lincoln The Lego Movie Complete Character Guide

Nicknamed “Honest Abe” because he never borrows anybody’s bricks without giving them back, Abraham Lincoln lives in a log cabin that he built all by himself, in the middle of a forest that he built all by himself, then cut down, and then rebuilt all by himself again.

Abraham Lincoln is full of good and fair advice, so his fellow Master Builders often ask him to settle arguments over who gets to build what. He would probably make a great leader, but President Business’s Octan Corporation makes all of the voting machines!

Marsha Queen of the Mermaids

The Lego Movie Marsha Queen of the Mermaids The Lego Movie Complete Character Guide

You don’t need to have legs to be a Master Builder! With the help of her creative imagination, the Mermaid Queen has assembled an entire underwater realm for herself and her mermaid pals. Brick by brick, she builds colorful coral reefs, fields of waving seaweed, and an almost endless variety of fish and other sea life.

But not even the deep brick sea is safe from Lord Business’s wicked plan. Now she is in hiding like her fellow Master Builders, waiting for the signal to gather and unite behind the prophesied hero known only as the Special!

Panda Guy

The Lego Movie Panda Guy The Lego Movie Complete Character Guide

Most believe the Panda Guy to be a simple mascot in a panda bear costume. But in times of trouble, he reveals himself as an undercover Master Builder who has sworn to free the citizens of Bricksburg from the shackles of instructions-based rules and conformity.

The Panda Guy is determined to foil Lord Business’s evil plots, although he has never succeeded so far. In his attempts to break into the Octan office tower, he hasn’t yet made it past the laser gates, let alone the sharks and the laser-sharks. Maybe the long-awaited Special will finally be the answer to completing his mission!

William Shakespeare

The Lego Movie William Shakespeare The Lego Movie Complete Character Guide

The celebrated wordsmith William Shakespeare is also a celebrated Master Builder, constructing brick creations with the same wit and grace with which he composes epic sonnets and speeches for his plays.

When Emmet addresses the gathered Master Builders at their secret meeting place in Cloud Cuckoo Land, everyone expects him to give a brilliant and rousing speech. But when Emmet’s words fail to inspire, Shakespeare is the first to express his disdain!

Michelangelo (Turtle)

The Lego Movie Michelangelo Turtle The Lego Movie Complete Character Guide

Michelangelo was formerly, along with his three, older brothers, a normal turtle, who was bought in a pet store by Splinter, when he was a human named Hamato Yoshi. Yoshi then saw many strange men (The Kraang) meeting. Those men carried a mutegen and when confronted by Yoshi, it was dropped onto the turtles spilled cage and Yoshi. The mutagen mutated Michelangelo and his three brothers into larger, more intelligent mutants, while turning Splinter into a giant rat. He then hid out in the sewers for 15 years, until the four turtles persuaded Splinter to let them go up to the surface. He is the one who loves to party and goof off and is one of the Master Builders of the LEGO world.

  1. OK. I’ve been pointing out the ads that play sound automatically and gotten good feedback from the site owner. I paid the money to go ad free or whatever on this site. Then I log in today to read some articles, open a few in new tabs and some ad starts blasting my speakers before I even click on the additional tabs.

I understand that ScreenRant doesn’t directly control the ads, but you should be monitoring and putting a stop to it if it is really of concern to you. That isn’t my job. If you are so concerned about revenue from ads and not allowing ad block, you might need to divert some focus to making sure that this site isn’t an annoyance to the people that visit and support it.

I am deleting this site from my bookmarks and will be seeking out another source of entertainment news. Good luck.

    • Just happened to me to. Shouldn’t be happening. We’re on it.

      (Apologies)

    • Sorry to hear that JB. We do our best to keep auto audio ads off the site, but it’s like trying to kill a roach infestation. We keep demanding that audio ads not be displayed on the site, but somehow they keep sneaking through.

  2. This movie will be even better if it had Nolan North as Deadpool in it.

    • YES YES!!! Or if it had marvel legos in them…Still excited tho. I don’t know a single person who hasn’t built a lego set in their life.

  3. So the good guys are basically a few random people… and the justice league.

  4. The funny thing is that the ‘Green Ninja’ isn’t evil at the end of Ninjago. Not sure why they decided to go that direction with him.

  5. I’m really surprised they didn’t include MARVEL lego’s too. It would have been great to see some Marvel vs. DC banter between them and then see them team up.

Would have been a great way to take shots at each universe and its fans (but in a fun way)

IMO that would have added to the nostalgia of growing up collecting lego’s and comics!

    • I once heard the directors say they can make 100 sequels, prequels and spinoffs out of this, so if there’s none of that in this film, maybe in the next.

    • Thing is, it’s a Warner Bros. movie and they own DC. They’d want to avoid promoting the competition.

  6. With a cameo appearence by “Lego My Eggo!”

  7. So they have some DC Lego characters….what if they added some Marvel Lego characters, and they all started a big rumble against each other? Would they likely knock each others’ BLOCKS off?!

  8. WB is obviously, and conveniently, just revving up Justice League popularity to build towards their next movie. This will be the best Justice League will get in a movie…

I bet WB paid to put their characters into the movie.

  9. I think you are all missing a key point:

This movie is made by WB.

No, they did not pay to have their characters in it, if some other studio was making it, they would have to pay WB. You don’t get to use the Batman in your movie without paying for the Batman. Since WB is making it, they can use JL characters, but…

There will be NO Marvel. You think Marvel is gonna let WB use their characters? Not likely.

    • Sometimes the lack of understanding of the business end of movies in these comments amazes me.

“Yeah, they should add Marvel, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Terminator, Matrix, and Indiana Jones too!”

Like the can just do that because it sounds cool.

      • +1

      • You dream-crusher. :( (^-^)

      • But I checked this on the net, and it (loudly) says Warner Bros Interactive made Lego Marvel Superheroes. I mean, are the game rights separate from the movie rights? Or the Lego character from the regular character? And if WB didn’t want to promote Marvel, why would they make a videogame, but not a movie. And not even a movie centered around Marvel, at that!

  10. My Idea for the sequel(if there is) would be Emmet partnering up with the Avengers or justice League to fight a villain named Captain Greed and restore all the treasures he stole from the city museum.

  11. You and your family deserve a living space that is tailored to suit your lifestyle and taste.
Come spend an afternoon getting great ideas and seeing spaces transformed from boring, useless and basic to brillant,
lively and organized. Here are five home improvements –
from budget-friendly to big budget – tht provide noteworthy return on investment (ROI) in terms of
    increased value and improved enjoyment:.

  12. The WB way of building to the Justice League movie along with strategically placing justice league products all through Super Target. Make it known to the little ones and then throw a Justice League movie together. I guess that’s one way to go or do it the Marvel way and do stand alone movies build the characters and then do a Justice League movie. Seems the better route.

  13. Thanks for the character guide, Paul! I used it to look into the female characters in the movie. A 7 year-old girl Charlotte recently wrote to LEGO and asked for more adventurous characters. Girls simply only sit around in the LEGO world, she thought.
Her letter went viral. I wrote about the letter and the female characters in the LEGO movie. Take a look if you want: http://wp.me/p4iqzZ-4G.

  14. Can someone tell me where to get this book? When searching, the closest I find is “The LEGO Movie: The Essential Guide”. Is ths the same book?

  15. Are any of the characters named “Richard” in this movie?

  16. Um…. okay, well.. he was a hidden surprise character. But still, show some love for JOHNNY THUNDER…. an ORIGINAL and classic Lego character.

(P.S. Hopefully Batman and his Stuperfriends are not present in the sequel… bricks, it could just be a whole different cast of characters.)

  17. i like boobs and vaginias
