[SPOILERS for those not caught up on Legends of Tomorrow ahead.]

-

The Waverider crew of Legends of Tomorrow have been tasked with being the guardians of time, preventing changes that can cause potentially devastating ripples throughout history. As if that wasn't daunting enough, this season our heroes have an ongoing mission to prevent the Legion of Doom from using the Spear of Destiny to actually rewrite reality itself.

The most recent episode, "Turncoat", involved the Legends traveling to 1776 to save George Washington and preserve his victory in the American Revolutionary War. While the crew was able to keep history more or less intact, they lost their shard of the Spear to the now-evil Rip Hunter and only narrowly saved a mortally wounded Sara with Gideon's miracle technology.

After a one-week break, Legends of Tomorrow continues with the episode "Camelot/3000", which will offer its own spin on the DC comic book series that featured time travel, King Arthur of Camelot, sorceress Morgan le Fay, and aliens. The latest photos from The CW, which you can see in the gallery below, reveal an episode that has the Knights of the Round Table mixing it up with the Legends, at least one member of the Justice Society of America, and the Legion of Doom.

The official synopsis for "Camelot/3000" explains that Sara and her crew will be traveling to the future first, where the JSA's Dr. Mid-Nite (guest star Kwesi Ameyaw) is protecting a segment of the Spear. The next destination is Camelot, with Stargirl (guest star Sarah Grey) as another shard's protector. These latest photos show the Legends crew in medieval costumes, both on the Waverider and around the fabled Round Table.

Sara also looks to be bonding with a more badass version of Guinevere (Elyse Levesque) than viewers may be familiar with, and Black Knight Damien Darhk looks to have brought some anachronistic technology to Camelot, possibly for some good old-fashioned mind control. While the recent trailer for the episode focused on some spectacular action sequences, these new images indicate there'll be some quieter moments between the characters as well. Over time, Legends of Tomorrow has found a good balance between history, drama, humor, and action, and this looks like another entertaining installment of the series.

Legends of Tomorrow continues Tuesday, February 21 with ‘Camelot/3000’ at 9pm on The CW.
