A new Justice League photo has emerged online highlighting Ben Affleck's Batman. Warner Bros. officially launched the DC Extended Universe last year with Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice - a follow-up to the filmmaker's Man of Steel in 2013 - which saw Henry Cavill reprise his role as Superman in addition to introducing audiences to Affleck's Batman and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman. The film also offered glimpses at the rest of the world's finest heroes: The Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

Affleck briefly appeared as Batman in David Ayer's Suicide Squad later that summer, including a mid-credits scene as Bruce Wayne where he traded Amanda Waller for information regarding known meta-humans. Now, he'll be appearing in Snyder's Justice League later this year where he'll recruit the rest of the superhero team's core members in order to battle Steppenwolf (Ciarán Hinds) and his Parademon army. To do that, the Caped Crusader has outfitted himself with two new Batsuits: an upgraded standard suit and the Tactical Batsuit.

So far, fans haven't seen much of the Tactical Batsuit, barring images released by either Snyder or the studio. The standard suit, with a slightly streamlined cowl, on the other hand, has seen plenty of action in the Justice League's trailers, and now a new photo has emerged online offering a new look at the costume. The image (below) has been taken from the box art from Mattel's upcoming line of DC Multiverse Justice League figures that were announced last month.

Aside from the fact that the photo is black-and-white, it focuses mostly on Batman's upper body, from the upper torso to the top of his cowl. People can see that Affleck continues to sport a stubble as Batman, rather than be clean shaven, thus emphasizing his years of expertise fighting crime throughout Gotham City. Moreover, the photo offers a better look at the DCEU Batman's enlarged bat symbol, something that was a major talking point when Batman V Superman was still in development.

The upcoming Justice League movie thrusts Batman into a war that he may not have been prepared for since it wasn't that long ago that he was only Gotham's protector; now he's attempting to save the world alongside super powered beings. In order to do just that, Batman will have to utilize all of his unique gadgets, including the Nightcrawler and the Tactical Batsuit. Hopefully, audiences get to see some of Batman's tech prior to Justice League hitting theaters this fall.
