Gerard Butler is off the chain man, there aren’t many actors that I can stand in just about any type of movie, but Gerard is definitely one of them. This is gonna be unreal.

LOL Aaron, I see it as a statement about how the justice system makes it too hard or sometimes impractical to provide complete justice, how so much is required by the prosecuting side to convict murderers like the character in this film that sometimes less-than-moral prosecutors (all lawyers as scumbags, prosecutors and defense, but especially defense lawyers) sometimes feel inclined to make deals with guilty parties just so they can “win” the case. If our justice system worked the way it SHOULD work, as in someone is arrested for murder, the are put to trial, evidense is presented, if he/she is proven guilty, they execute them within a year. None of this sitting on death row for 25 years with unlimited appeals BS wasting millions and millions of dollars with each appeal, making prosecuting people almost not worth the money sometimes…

If that was the case, not only would more people be fully prosecuted to the extent of the law since we will be able to afford to, but there will be less crime because people won’t consider our justice system a joke anymore. In China, drug trafficking is punishable by death. And it’s not a long process, you get caught, they bring you to an execution grounds, and they shoot you in the head. And you wonder why there’s so much less drug trafficking over there…

Plea bargains, like the one made in this movie, help both the defendent and the state. I don’t like them because it is definitely a compromise every time (resulting in a lesser punishment than the defendent deserves), but it seems to me it’s the system that makes that almost a necessity.

This movie looks amazing. I read the previous synopsis and the only difference i can see is that hes not an everyday man, something to do with the CIA. At first i thought it was going to be another one of those oh guy loses everything gets revenge things but when he got arrested and the trailer progressed i was like HOLY SH*T this is a great idea and i already wanted to know how it played out. I’m glad that i haven’t heard of this movie until now cuz i’d hate to have to wait long to see it(Thanks alot Iron man 2 leaked footage).
