Screen Rant's exclusive Last Looks clip sees Charlie Hunnam's Charlie reuniting with an old flame in the upcoming mystery-thriller. Based on Howard Michael Gould's novel of the same name, the story revolves around ex-LAPD superstar Charlie Waldo as he is pulled from his life of solitude in the woods in order to investigate the murder of the wife of eccentric actor Alistair Pinch. As he's pulled in, Waldo finds himself surrounded by gangsters, Hollywood executives and pre-school teachers while trying to figure the truth behind Pinch's innocence or guilt.

Alongside Hunnam, the ensemble cast for Last Looks includes Mel Gibson, Morena Baccarin, Lucy Fry, Rupert Friend, Dominic Monaghan, Jacob Scipio and Clancy Brown. Development on the film was first announced in late 2018 with Hunnam and Gibson signing on to star under its original title of Waldo with Tim Kirkby attached to direct the script penned by source author Gould. With production having run through 2019 and RLJE Films having acquired the rights to Last Looks this past December, the mystery-thriller is finally gearing up to hit theaters.

With just a week remaining until the film's arrival, Screen Rant has an exclusive Last Looks clip. The video sees Charlie Hunnam's Waldo reuniting with an old flame after returning to Los Angeles from his new life in isolation. Check out the steamy new clip below:

Last Looks marks Charlie Hunnam's first major role in a few years after having five key roles in 2019, including Guy Ritchie's hit crime comedy The Gentlemen, the well-received sports drama Jungleland and Netflix's ensemble action-thriller Triple Frontier. The exclusive Last Looks clip offers some insight into the tone of the film, taking a similar approach to its private detective story as some of the best-received Elmore Leonard novels and movie adaptations. Additionally, the clip does well to highlight the quieter and reserved nature of Hunnam's reluctant private detective Waldo as he struggles to return to the chaos of LA after electing to go off grid for a few years.

Last Looks also comes at a time in which Mel Gibson is enjoying something of an acting career resurgence with more independent genre fare, with well-received performances in the darkly comedic Christmas thriller Fatman, neo-noir crime thriller Dragged Across Concrete and sci-fi action comedy Boss Level. The two-time Oscar winner is also gearing up to revisit two of his most popular properties with Lethal Weapon 5, on which he will take over directing from franchise helmer Richard Donner following his death in 2021, and The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection, which will reportedly begin filming this summer. In the meantime, audiences can look forward to Hunnam and Gibson teaming up for Last Looks when it hits theaters, digital platforms and VOD on February 4.
