Courtesy of our pals at Latino Review (via the fine folks at Paramount), comes a whole cache of new posters for The Last Airbender.

For those who weren’t as obsessed with Nickelodeon show as some of my friends, the movie is about the war-inclined Fire Nation taking on three other elementally-inclined nations in an epic war. Aang, portrayed by Noah Ringer, is The Last Airbender, who can control all the elements and is prophesied to end the war and unite the combatants.

I’m pretty skeptical when Shyamalan is involved in any film after that business with The Village, but I have to admit,  the trailer for Airbender looks pretty neat.

There’s some beautiful imagery in these new posters, and of course, now we all know how to say The Last Airbender in French and German. I will say this, however – it is a pout fest. Seriously, take a look:

  1. Shiney…but the wait is too long

  2. The trailer does look neat, which is why it’s a pity that every time new facts about the movie come out they reveal new ways in which M. Night Shyamalan is doing screwy, ego-driven things to the source material.

I mean, honestly, who changes the pronunciation of the characters’ names? Who DOES that?

  3. I’m tired of waiting, come out already!

  4. it looks kick assssss…. im tired of being right all the time!!! I told you guys that M Night would be a really good film maker for this film! This is a chance for him to break the stereotypes he made for himself that he cant do action. This movie he needs to save his career, he is going to kick ass. knock this baby out of the park! He is going to surprise a lot of people cause despite all the other stuff and all the films that were methodically slow– he is a really good film maker. YOU WILL BELIEVE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

  5. These posters reinforce what I already know… M. Night sucks.

  6. I am not sure whether I have seen one of this guys movies, but regardless of that fact. I am still overcome with the fear of this turning out to be another ‘Dragonball: Evolution’ a complete and utter failure. All fans will acknowledge that. Anywho this is said for an obvious reason of the actors lacking resemblance to their characters. While the person playing Aang looks to much like a little kid. How could you have Zuko be played by an indian?! Not being racist and he doesnt even have the trademark scar. If they disapoint me Im going to fart on this directors face
