The very first trailer for 20th Century Fox’s Knight & Day, an action-comedy starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, has finally been released along with the film’s first poster from a few days back.

There hasn’t been much news surrounding this film despite its high profile cast other than its name change from “Wichita” back in October to what we now know the movie as.

Knight & Day is directed by James Mangold (Walk the Line, 3:10 to Yuma) off a Patrick O’Neill script. Joining Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz are Maggie Grace, Peter Sarsgaard, Paul Dano, Marc Blucas, Olivier Martinez and Viola Davis.

Here’s a brief synopsis from Variety if you are unfamiliar with Knight & Day:

“Cruise plays a man of mystery who links up with Diaz. They become fugitives, there are betrayals and shifting alliances all around them, and they must figure out whether to be guided by truth or trust.”

Watch the trailer and enjoy:

Looks like a fun flick and good roles for its two stars. What do you think of Cruise and Diaz in the trailer?

  1. Is that really the trailer for Mission Impossible 4?

  2. “No one follows us, or I kill myself then her.”

    I think I might like this movie……

  3. HUH????

  4. Seems like it would be good….i havent been a fan of cruise lately. It looks like hes going back to his roots on this film

  5. Apart from Cruise’s weird antics he seems suited for this film and it looks like it will be something I could enjoy. Over the top action mixed with comedy.

  6. Looks really fun, I’m surprised.

Tom Cruise’s personal life is making ppl forget that he’s a really good actor; very charismatic and a great on-screen presence. I, for one, hate the “tmz” culture and will enjoy Cruise in almost any movie he’s in.

  7. yeah….better this than another lions for lambs/war of worlds

  8. It’s a shame Cruise is such a (brainwashed) wack-job in real life as he really is a talented actor…..

  9. Another throw away action film starring a guy who can’t even get it up for Nicole Kidman ,,,,

I want to believe Tom,,, just not in you! Cruise is the next Eddie Murphy in terms of career choices.

    Say what?!
    8-O

  10. This actually looks good.

    Doesn’t take itself too seriously.

I hate movies that try to do that.

  11. @790, Agree with you about Tom and Nicole, What a waste of a beautiful woman.

This does look good though, in spite of the Cruise.

  12. I have less of a problem with Cruise than I do with Diaz.

This looks like a fun romp, count me in.

    Vic

  13. I would have never thought of Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise as a good pair, but actually it looks like they are going to be really good together! Definitely looking forward to this movie!

  14. You know i dont care what anybody says but Tom Cruise is always gonna be an elite actor to me. no one ever gives him credit! If you watch all his movie, he’s always giving 210% of all his performances!Hollywood always hating on him!HE DESERVES 10 OSCAR awards atleast!!

  15. I don’t know that he deserves 10 but I do think his talent as an actor is underrated. He is (and someone is going to kill me for this but just here me out) a little like John Wayne in that most of the time he plays the same character with a different name. He plays that character very well, but his range as an actor is somewhat limited. I would argue though that he has more range than a lot of people give him credit for. This movie, that I kinda think still should be called witcha, looks great! Super funny, great action, and what looks to be a great story. Love the quotes and I’m def going to see it.

  16. I could care less what Tom Cruise does in his personal life. I enjoy his movies, though, lions for lambs and valkyrie disappointed me. This one looks like he is returning to what he does best; action. Cameron Diaz just makes me want to see this film that much more.

  17. When I first saw the trailer, I to thought it was MI4. It looks like a fun movie, and I also believe Cruise doesn’t get enough credit. Sure, he’s a nutball in real life but that’s not what we go to the movies to see (Hi Mr. Cameron :-) ).

  18. Looks like fun to me.
