knight and day tom cruise cameron diaz Knight and Day Trailer #2 & International Trailer [Updated]

[Update: We’ve added the international trailer for Knight And Day]

A few days before Christmas last year the first trailer premiered forĀ  Knight and Day (previously titled Wichita). The espionage comedy stars Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, reunited for the first time since Vanilla Sky. Today we have a brand new trailer for the movie for you to enjoy.

Knight and Day is directed by James Mangold (Walk the Line, 3:10 To Yuma) from a script by Patrick O’Neill (an actor turned writer making his feature writing debut). Along with Cruise and Diaz in the lead roles, the movie co-stars the likes of Maggie Grace, Peter Sarsgaard, Paul Dano, Marc Blucas, Olivier Martinez and Viola Davis. Quite a cast, I hope you’ll agree.

In case you’re not familiar with Knight and Day, here’s a quick rundown of the synopsis:

“Cruise plays a man of mystery who links up with Diaz. They become fugitives, there are betrayals and shifting alliances all around them, and they must figure out whether to be guided by truth or trust.”

Now here’s the new Knight and Day trailer. Enjoy:

Update: Now check out the international trailer for Knight And Day. It’s pretty much the theatrical trailer, with a one or two new moments (i.e., not even worth its own post):

Our good friends over at /Film were the ones to point us in the direction of this latest trailer and I have to say I agree with what Peter Sciretta over there says about it: it carries on the same aspects of the first trailer, with the comedy falling flat (for the most part) but the action looking pretty damn good (if a tad over the top).

Even if I’m not laughing in the theater, at least there will be some interesting and exciting action going on to take my mind off it.

What do you think of the latest Knight and Day trailer?

After having its release date its release date moved up, Knight and Day is now scheduled for a June 25th, 2010 release.

  1. Tom has learned the lesson of Tropic Thunder, he is best when he does not take himself seriously.

  2. Wow, I'm sold! Hard to believe when I read the synopsis I would really want to see this movie. Action looks terrific. The comedy is pretty good (“I'll kill myself and then her”). And say whatever you want about Cruise, he is a great actor and has a great on screen presence.

Kind of reminds me of True Lies, which is one of my favorite movies.

  3. After seeing that trailer I'm in

  4. I think it looks like a lol funny movie with some sweet action. hate to disagree but I can't imagine it being any funnier. I watched the first trailer over and over and laughed every time. Very, very quoteable too (always a plus)

  5. Just watched trailer 2 and i gotta say this looks awesome and I disagree with the humor falling flat. Did you catch the part where cruise was on top of a car and laid his head back just as a car behind flipped over barely missing his head? Reminded me of the MI movie where the edge of the Helicopter blad just stopped before hitting hsi throat.

I love over the top action like this. Movies are for the not real, to take you away from reality and an over the top action film like this is the definition of blockbuster movie release. Leave the human dramas based in pure reality for the art houses and film festivals.
