I would consider myself a VERY harsh critic but this movie did a phenomenal job of mixing action, comedy and gore together. And I love the little wink “Yeah, we know how improbable this stuff is” that this movie has, it’s got an unique vibe.

And- I got this from reading the script alone.

Now- regarding the ending;
Yes. The ending CLEARLY shows the viewers that a sequel will definitely happen. It’s not only a “Dead bad guy snaps his eyes open after the credits” ending, but it is also a “Radioactive spider crawls around a room of sleeping cops after the credits” these examples of course are not what literally happens (i wouldnt spoil it) but in a figurative way, sorta.

By the way, Nick Cage is a huge miscast in this movie. He does not in any way remind me of the character he is playing (Big Daddy)
