I visit my own site a lot more often than I do WhySoSerious.com, one of the viral sites for The Dark Knight, so I figured I would just keep an eye on what’s going on with that Halloween pumpkin with the candle that’s burning down right here.

Am I missing something or is everyone else? It seems they were calling for a publicity stunt to get the fan base involved in promotion of the movie. They wanted pics of people dressed as the Joker in various locations, poses, and quantities. This is like the world’s cheapest promo ad, creating curiosity among people and ownership among the fanbase. Also, once they publish these pictures, a feeling that “the Joker is everywhere.” Or “Where is he going to turn up next?”
I imagine that the best pics will earn people a t-shirt or screen saver or a chance to visit the set.
