Despite the huge divide in opinion surrounding the movies that have made up the DC Extended Universe to-date (Man of Steel, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad), there’s still a lot of hype and excitement in the air in regards to the two additions the DCEU will see later this year in Wonder Woman and Justice League. In the latter, we’ll see the famous comic book superhero team brought together on the big screen for the first time.
New information surrounding the pair of movies continues to trickle out slowly but surely in the run-up to their releases, but at the Toy Fair in New York, Funko had a different kind of announcement for DCEU fans. Revealing a pair of new Funko Pop! lines, fans will now be able to add to their vinyl figure collections once more. You can check out concept art of the Justice League Funko toys, below.
Along with those Justice League heroes showcased in Pop! form – namely Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg – Funko have announced that further merchandise will be coming in the form of Dorbz and Mystery Minis. Meanwhile, the Wonder Woman figurines include the titular character holding her iconic shield (she’s got her whip in the JL line), alongside Steve Trevor and Amazonian Queen Hippolyta, equipped with an automatic firearm and broad sword respectively. There’s even a mini Pocket Pop! Keychain of the Amazonian warrior herself up for grabs.
Each of the figures are crafted with care, standing at 3 ¾ inches tall and delivered in a window display box. No ‘Chase’ versions (rarer than the regular figure) of the vinyl pieces have yet been revealed, but will likely be released closer to the time the collectibles start to hit store shelves.
Wonder Woman and Justice League are just two huge movies that have allowed their characters to be reimagined in Pop! form, with the company continuing to build upon their legacy of delivering unique collectibles to fans across the globe. No date has yet been given for the figures’ release, but Funko promise they’re ‘coming soon!’
Meanwhile, the movies upon which they’re based both drop a little later this year. Stick with Screen Rant to find out all the latest news about Wonder Woman and Justice League along with the rest of the developments from the DCEU as they arrive.
