Warner Bros. is hoping 2017 can be the year that elevates the DC Extended Universe to new heights. While all of their previous films have earned a lot of money at the box office, the critical reception was extremely divisive in every case. So far this year, the studio has featured great publicity when it comes to their two 2017 releases, Wonder Woman and Justice League. The former is deep into its marketing campaign and has released several excellent trailers, whereas Justice League is only just beginning to lift the veil in a new trailer.

The hope is that the current positive buzz will remain after the movies have been seen by everyone, instead of once again leaving audiences wanting more or something different entirely. These movies have spent a lot of time in development and have seen many different ideas floated around, and some new pieces of concept art for both films highlight the ideas that are sticking with the finished products.

The art was revealed courtesy of Seán Murphy on Twitter, and are currently being featured at an art museum in France. The pieces featured for Wonder Woman are rather straight forward with Diana (Gal Gadot) in her traditional costume and a fellow Amazonian riding on a horse, but it is the Justice League art that should get fans most excited as Superman (Henry Cavill) is featured standing with the rest of the League.

It is not surprising that the art WB chose to feature falls right in line with their final visions for the film. It would have been odd for them to display art that shows alternate story points for either film, or revealed anything that has not already been seen, like a design for Green Lantern.

That said, it is great to see the entire Justice League assembled in this concept art. Superman has already been confirmed to appear in the film, but the marketing so far has decided to try to hide it from those that may not already know. There is no telling at what point in the movie Superman will appear or if a shot similar to this art will be featured, but it is cool to see nonetheless. It also goes to show that when Cavill does return as the Kryptonian hero, he will wear his regular red and blue suit - even though many are still hoping the black suit is featured as well.
