[UPDATE: Madeleine Vall Beijner has now confirmed that the project in question here is not Justice League. The rest of this article has been left as it was originally published.]

Justice League reshoots could include scenes from Themyscira. This summer, we were introduced to the secret paradise island where Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and the rest of the Amazonian warriors peacefully existed before Steve Trevor's (Chris Pine) plane crash changed everything. While the film saw Diana leaving her island home during World War I, the upcoming ensemble flick may transport viewers again for a second look at Themyscira.

Much has been said about the first time DC is bringing together their biggest superheroes in one project to fight Steppenwolf (Ciarán Hinds) and his army of Parademons, and if done right, the film could catapult the franchise to new heights. That said, even before we can get to the main gist of the story, melding all of Batman's (Ben Affleck), Superman's (Henry Cavill), and  Wonder Woman's respective established worlds, while infusing hints of what would be Aquaman's (Jason Momoa), the Flash's (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg's (Ray Fisher) will be pivotal in making the film cohesive.

Batman News recently pointed out that Madeleine Vall Beijner, who played an Amazon warrior in Wonder Woman, recently posted in her official Instagram account teasing that she and some of the other actresses who played similar roles in the film are headed back to Italy where Themyscira was shot. "In less than three weeks I will be reunited with these badass amazon warriors again!! Also, in Themiscyra (Italy) at the same location where we were shooting the movie #WONDERWOMAN. Can’t wait to go back!," she wrote in the caption. Obviously, the photo is not a confirmation that the trip will be for Justice League reshoots. But if anything, the timeline coincides with  the ongoing work that is still being done to the film. Check out the photo below:

In less than three weeks I will be reunited with these badass amazon warriors again!! ??⚔️ Also, in Themiscyra (Italy) at the same location where we were shooting the movie #WONDERWOMAN.?? It is unknown how the hidden sanctuary will be infused in the movie's narrative but there are a few feasible scenarios that the film could utilize. It is possible that the scene could be a flashback, given that Antiope (Robin Wright) also has a role in Justice League. However, it is also interesting to point out that the trailer for the film shows a snippet of Steppenwolf descending on the Amazons, indicating that he could be terrorizing Themyscira as well -- something that would prompt Diana to take him as a serious threat and be more of an active participant in Bruce's plan.

As previously mentioned, Justice League reshoots are said to still be ongoing under the supervision of Joss Whedon.  The former Marvel filmmaker stepped into directorial duties after Zack Snyder had to suddenly exit the film due to a personal tragedy. Over the last several weeks, various news regarding the extensive rework has floated around the internet, and with just a few months until the film officially premieres, fans will finally see for themselves if it was worth it for these heroes to unite.
