Justice League is one of the most anticipated movies in a year crammed full of tentpole flicks. As post-production continues on the first of two epic DC team movies, featuring some far-out villains, fans eagerly await another taste of their favorite heroes in action – at least since the teaser-trailer arrived last summer during San Diego Comic-Con. Justice League may be almost a year away, but that hasn’t curbed fans' desire for new footage. In fact, many had hoped the latest trailer would run before Rogue One.

Unfortunately, the Justice League teaser was a no-show, though fans were treated to promos of former Dark Knight auteur Christopher Nolan’s film, Dunkirk. However, Zack Snyder recently hinted that a new teaser could be just around the corner.

Mikah McAllister recently ran across Batman V Superman helmer Snyder. Aside from snagging a selfie with the DC Extended Universe director, which he posted on Instagram, McAllister also passed along some pertinent information about a possible upcoming promo for the film (via Comic Book). He told his followers that he “asked if [Snyder] can do a video with me to ‘inspire’ you guys to watch his films, he says: 'Normally I would but the promo for the movie will begin REAL SOON so I can't say more at the moment.' Check out the Snyder selfie below:

Shout out to my boss for officially making this meet up happen #batmanvsuperman #justiceleague Director, #zacksnyder , has a message for you guys: " Watch the Justice League movie, BECAUSE ITS THE JUSTICE LEAGUE!" Also, I asked if he can do a video with me to "inspire" you guys to watch his films, he says: " Normally I would but the promo for the movie will begin REAL SOON so I can't say more at the moment...." By real soon, he means the end of this month I'm soooo pumped At least I got to reiterate how much I loved his Dawn of the Dead remake and #wonderwoman He was very grateful and soooooooo kind to me! Yes, now he knows my face... but probably forgot my name Also, #thebatman will be filmed at the WB lot... (allegedly) A photo posted by Mikah McAllister (@mikahmcallister) on

Justice League recently wrapped production, as emphasized by a shot of Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and the director celebrating at the wrap party. Since then, Snyder has stoked the fan-fires with a handful of League images. Last November, DC suggested the next trailer could arrive as early as December. If the teaser and the recent hearsay from Snyder are accurate, fans could be treated to an exciting gift from Warner Bros. this Christmas.

Although not an official statement from DC and Warner Bros.' public relations, McAllister’s relayed message is a good sign. Seeing as the holiday season has experienced a surge in moviegoers, as last year’s domestic smash hit Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens proves, it wouldn't be surprising if Warner Bros. tacked a trailer for one of their biggest movies to it. With Rogue One entering into its all-important second weekend, Warners could decide to kick off their Justice League promotions to capture the Christmas-New Year’s audience uptick.

Naturally, an Instagram post is far from a legitimate company statement, so any reports of forthcoming promos or teaser trailers must be taken with a grain of salt. Depending upon what the Warners has planned, it could still be another month or more before any new footage drops. Still, DC’s own teaser matches with Snyder’s hint. Fans may be able to cross off another item from their holiday wish list.
