We’ve decided to add a new recurring feature for you loyal readers. Prior to each month, we will present a teaser for the upcoming slate of films to be released that month, which we’ve discussed here at Screen Rant.

This summer has been fairly weak so far apart from Toy Story 3, but July seems to have more to offer. While much of it is still typical summer popcorn movie fare, a shining light of originality may be found in Inception. But that doesn’t mean it’s the only movie worth seeing.

If the The Twilight Saga: Eclipse buzz is getting on your nerves, you’ll be happy to know its June 30th release date pushes it out of our inaugural teaser. But this upcoming month does kick off with M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender on July 1st.

July 9th brings an horror/thriller reboot and a Steve Carell animated comedy to the masses, with Predators and Despicable Me.

While The Sorcerer’s Apprentice was originally set for a July 16th release, the studio wisely pushed it up to July 14th in an attempt to separate it from Inception. The latter film still hits theaters and IMAX on July 16th.

Angelina Jolie’s latest action film, Salt, comes out on July 23rd. The month ends with live-action comedy starring Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and Zach Galifianakis, called Dinner for Schmucks.

July has a real chance to bring the summer of 2010 back to form with something for every crowd. It is still amazing that only two of the seven movies in the teaser will be released in 3D. Just wait until next year, when I’ll have to actually make these teaser trailers in 3D!

Of course, not every movie made the teaser. We stuck to the ones that headline each week. If you are seriously anticipating a film that didn’t make it in, please share it with us in the comments section below. If you enjoyed the teaser, let us know as well.
