Former stars of 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On, Josh and Anna Duggar have welcomed their sixth child together. Their new daughter, Maryella Hope, was born on the eve of Thanksgiving.
Josh, the eldest child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, has been surrounded by controversy since 2015. Josh married his wife Anna in 2008 which was documented on the family's reality TV show, 19 Kids and Counting, and they just celebrated their 10-year anniversary together. The couple has gone through many problems together, including Josh's molestation scandal back in 2015, then again when it was revealed that Josh had been active on the cheating website Ashley Maddison since 2013 and had been unfaithful to his wife. Though the scandals nearly broke the couple, the pair never split and worked through their marital issues together. The couple, who already share Mackenzie, 9, Michael, 8, Marcus, 6, Meredith, 3, and Mason, 2, just announced the birth of their sixth child Maryella Hope.
The former TLC personalities haven't appeared on television since the 2015 scandal canceled the family's show, 19 Kids and Counting, but have stayed active on social media to give fans updates on their growing family. On Wednesday, November 27th, the couple announced that Anna has given birth to a healthy baby girl. They released a statement with Us Weekly about their new addition, saying, "On Thanksgiving eve our hearts are overflowing with joy and gratefulness for the arrival of our sixth child! Maryella Hope arrived this morning at 9:12am. 8 pounds and 2 ounces, 20 inches long." Anna went to Instagram to post pictures of their bundle of joy, see the post below:
31-year-old Josh and 31-year-old Anna revealed that Anna had a very easy delivery, saying, "Anna had a fast labor and delivery without complications. We are so thankful for a beautiful, healthy baby girl!" Anna posted many pictures of Maryella Hope, captioning the post, "Maryella Hope arrived one day ahead of Thanksgiving Day 2019 and a great reminder to be grateful for all God has done for us! We are so excited and thankful to God for His special blessing giving us this precious, happy & healthy baby girl!"
It seems that this family will have a lot to be thankful this Thanksgiving with the successful birth of their new baby girl. It seems that this ever-expanding family will continue with the theme of naming their children with names starting with M. The former 19 Kids and Counting stars will hopefully bringing home their baby girl in time to eat Thanksgiving with the rest of their family.
