I’ve known Jimmy for years, and don’t let the kiddie animation fool you. He’s been working his way up to direct a western in the tradition of the 70′s Auteur period for years. Think Sam Peckinpah, Sergio Leone, John Boorman and Toby Hooper. That’s the direction Jimmy will be going. Just keep the producers, test audiences and PG-13 rating out of his way – and he will deliver an amazing, compelling Jonah Hex.

Also remember actors don’t have the clout that directors do. They take what they can get otherwise they are known as “problematic and difficult to work with”. Reality is this is going to be pure junk. Can you guys say “Batman Forever?”

Sounds like Warner Bros is taking its intelligence and smarts from Fox. Seems like these guys are looking to camp up everything when it comes to comics. I’m sure W.B. was thinking “Let’s bring in the laughs and make it a kids film.” It will be butchered…no question about it.
