Woot!! Woot!! Bring it on!! :-D
Not Ultimate style tho. :-/

This might be the first time Cap gets on screen, and I don’t want them screwin’ with him.;-)

It would be so cool if at the end of the Cap movie he’s on that plane that explodes and he gets frozen like in the comix and the discovered by the Avengers in the Avengers movie!! :-) WOW!

(breath,KEL!)

But what about Iron Mans 2 & 3. Would they conflict?

Kel,

That’s what I think, too! Cap 1: WW2; Avengers: Cap thawed out; Cap 2: modern day Cap. How about Colin Ferguson as Cap?!

I agree with both you! Finding Cap frozen in ice would be fantastic! First, I love Captain America! One of my top 5 favorite comic characters. IMHO, as crazy as this may sound; Daniel Craig(I know he’s british) would do an amazing job as Cap. I told you it would sound crazy.:) If people could get over that notion, I promise you he would own the role. What do you guys thing? Am I bonkers?

My favorite comix characters:

1.Batman
2.Superman
3.Iron man and Captain America (Steve Rogers)
4.Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) and Flash (Barry Allen)

I personally don’t think Craig would make a good superhero, per say,I think he’d be a better villain. But if Daniel Craig could play anyone of the heroes,I’d probably say it would be either Aquaman or Hawkman and possibley the Alan Scott GL from the forties that got canceled. But I don’t see him as Cap. Sorry, bud. ;-)

I started in 1996 with Waid, then Waid/Augustyn, then Johns (when he was no one), then in 2002, I quit picking it up. I think I just got behind and gave up. I barely read anymore, since I feel modern day comics are garbage.

So you like the Wally West Flash then, right Heath?

Yup. Most comix these days are crap. That’s why they haven’t come up with a name for today’s era of comix yet,can you slack anymore than bronze? ;-)
Geoff Johns is still a great writer tho. I love what he’s doing with GL and I can’t wait to see what he’s got in store for Superman this year.

SIDENOTE: Wouldn’t it be cool if Geoff Johns wrote the script for the next Superman film and Richard Donner directed it? Those two have been working together on Action comics over the last year or so,and I feel they could make a kick ass Superman movie! :-D
Heck,if they just get someone like Johns for the script,it would be awesome!!

IF DONE SERIOUSLY AN AVENGERS MOVIE COULD BE MARVELS STAR WARS AND WOULD HAVE TO BE MADE WITH THE SAME CARE AND BUDGET!
I LIKED FANTASTIC FOUR AND X-MEN MOVIES BUT AVENGERS COULD BE THE BEST YET!!!

I agree, Avengers looks like it’ll be done with more care and regard than the canned Justice League, and will be a hit.

I really enjoyed the second Fantastic Four!

Wouldn’t a group like Avengers or JLA be hare to translate? In X-Men Rogue’s story stood for them all. Still, much of the first movie was spent introducing them.

In the comics, many of the supergoup heroes were established characters before joining. The general audience hasn’t met many of the JLA or Avengers members. Green Lantern–Who has heard of him since Donovan’s song 42 years ago?

The more tickets Iron Man or Spider-Man sell, the higher Robert or Tobey’s price tags rise. (I suppose this is why Brandon and Christian weren’t slated for Justice League.)

On the other hand, Halle and Tobey have received Oscars. Do they stay with a lucrative but limiting franchise, when they have leading actor offers with screen legends?

I’m fine with more hero stories and would be excited with encounters or team-ups, like the rumored Hulk/Tony Stark scene.

IT IS INTERESTING THE WAY MARVEL ARE BUILDING TOWARDS AN EPIC AVENGERS MOVIE BY HAVING ALL THE FILMS TIE IN TO EACH OTHER.
MARVEL MUST LEARN WHAT FANS LOVE AND HATE ABOUT SUPERHERO MOVIES BY NOW.
THE WORST CHARACTER TO BE MESSED WITH WAS DR DOOM. THERE WAS AN ABSOLUTE ICON LOST BY BAD CASTING AND APPROACH. DARTH VADER WAS NICKED DR DOOM AND YET WHEN HOLLYWOOD GOT THERE HANDS ON HIM THEY TURNED HIM INTO A THIRD RATE MOVIE BAD GUY.
DON’T DO IT AGAIN WITH ANY MORE OF MARVELS BEST.

You have this one right. F4 was my favorite comic.

Also they made it worse by having The Thing immediately turn back into Ben Grimm, and by having Doom get his face back. What is the burden of looking like a beast if you skip out of it all the time? This is as annoying as Trek trying to prove how “human” Spock, Data, Odo, or Holodoc were.

I didn’t have a problem with von Doom obtaining the surfboard. I remember that from the comics. And I don’t mind the portrayal of Galactus–the Kirby helmet would have been too much (it was depicted in the shadows anyway.) I would rather have a movie show me partial aspects of a character (Galactus’ power and immensity) rather than twisting a character like making von Doom one of the Fantastic Five.

Hey, Graham, is it possible for you to not type in all caps? It is the equivalent of shouting online. All lowercase is actually better than all upper case.
