what are you talking about, Nikke’s is just saying that it was offered, not that it has been accepted, plus, you do realize that Harry knows Jon on a personal level, right?

Who would you believe?

This is obvious damage control from Marvel. Vic should know better than allowing such a retarded article to be posted on screenrant.

Those articles on IESB and AICN forced Marvel to do this today. Sheesh what morons you guys are.

Let’s hope it goes through. They’d be idiots not to bring Favreau back.

The article says it has only been offered, it is even in the bloody title!
Nice reading skills.

I just think he clearly deserves being OFFERED the next one as he did such a good job with the first.

Um, I wrote that it’s been offered. And chances are, Favs will take it. I hope that Favs knocks this one out of the park!

You guys need to: Chill. Out.

Favreau WANTS to direct Iron Man 2. If there is any way for the deal to come together it WILL. His only concern is the projected May 2010 release date.

From his own typewriting hands over at MySpace 3 days ago:

“Robert and I speak a lot and can’t wait to get started developing the script for IM2.”

The title of this post is:

Yes, Jon Favreau Has Been Offered Iron Man 2

The “rest easy” comment is based upon what I personally know regarding Jon’s desire to shoot the sequel.

but i think 2010 is a good choice because because we might be seeing spidey back in 2011 and they don’t wanna make trouble with spidey and also when it’s 2 years apart the first one looks a little fresh and they will remember it that the first one was awesome in a short time

Good read, Heath. Lets hope the budget for IM2 is around the Superman Returns range ($250 mil) for extreme comic book style action.

CAA God seems very upset, I don’t know why.

Jon wants to direct, Marvel wants Jon to direct, we want Jon to direct, We knew he’d be offered to Direct and look - He did get offered to direct.

Where is this confusion coming from?

I think the budget will be 20% more for IM II @ 150-180 million without P+A budget. Great news with Favs getting the offer. I guess the internet ruckus worked to get information out to the fans faster but there was no way that Marvel could or can save face on IM II without Downey Jr and Favreau..This is solid news!!

Dude, whatever. Iron Man right now is the 4th highest movie on Yahoo’s buzz meter:

http://buzzlog.buzz.yahoo.com/movies/

Every movie site I know has been talking about this Favreau/IM2 issue. No one is forcing you to read every post on the site or even this site at all.

I will say there hasn’t been as much news hear lately because I write the bulk of the articles and I’ve had my hands full with converting the site over to the new format.

But hey, have a nice day - plenty of other websites out there where you can leave comments in all lower case with no punctuation.

Best,

Vic

Jasper… We talk about almost everything related to fanboy stuff in movies and TV. We are free to post comments as we wish as long as we respect that everyone has the right to their opinion. It would be unfortunate if you decided not to come back to this site because I think it is one of the better websites around for this type of forum. If you want to talk about something else post your comment instead of complaining what everybody else is discussing. Vic does the free-for-all once a week and that pretty much includes everything and anything people are wanting to discuss..Loosen up..and throw it down if you want to discuss something besides Iron Man!! Be glad to debate with you in a respectable manner and tone Dude!!!

Oh and Jasper…Learn to spell Dude..and a little punctuation wouldn’t hurt either. I felt like I was reading a post by Dustin Hoffman as the Rainman…Just saying it was hard to read..That’s all..

It’s okay Jasper, I know how Ironman posts can get you down, depressed and maybe tear up a bit… Not all people can handle one post a week over a 4 week period on Ironman, the most popular movie of the year, at a time when another marvel movie is coming out this week…and another later this year. And shortly after the announcement of 3 more years of marvel movies.. all of which have a little bit, just a little litttle bit to do with Ironman and that young man Jon Favreau.

But that’s okay. Good luck Jasper on your non-Ironman movie website future. I hope you have a blast! I’ll be missing you. And your friends who you talk about movie website themes with in real life.

ps. I best watch my grammar now that Vic is on the hunt, heh.
