Kusturica is an Oscar nominated director and a two time Palm d’Or winner at Cannes and he comes from the great line of Eastern European directors (like Polansky).
Depp can learn Spanish (why not, he probably learned French since he lives in France most of the time).
I hope this movie does not turn into “Once Upon A Time In Mexico”, so over the top.
Otherwise, great cast!

can he even speak spanish? why cant they get a real mexican to play this role? sorry but javier bardem is waay better suited than depp is for this role.

Mr. Depp as Pancho Villa what fantastic news and speaking Spanish to boot. In my book it can’t get much better. Sounds like a role he was born to play.
